respect for wood
For several years the Group has favoured
wood products from forests which comply
with the principles of sustainable forest
management. The Group works
in partnership with different expert
associations, such as “The Forest Trust”.
This policy will make it much easier for the
Group to manage the transition to new
regulations on wood traceability applicable
as of 1 January 2013.
long live compact
fluorescent light bulbs!
They last eight times longer and use five
times less energy.
These energy-saving light bulbs replace
incandescent light bulbs, which are
scheduled to be permanently removed
from shelves in 2012. To ensure a smooth
switch-over, Mr Bricolage offered compact
fluorescent bulbs for less than €1 in 2011,
selling almost 100,000. The Group has also
arranged to collect and recycle used bulbs
with its partner Récyclum.
Follow the guide
In 2011 Mr Bricolage distributed “Le guide
des bonnes pratiques” (The guide to good
practices) in all its stores. This publication
gives concrete solutions for saving water
and energy.
