<strong>International</strong> Baccalaureate Diploma Programme:<br />

Grading And Grade Point Averages:<br />

IB Courses, if taken at <strong>the</strong> Standard or Higher level, (available in grades 11 and 12) are<br />

weighted – please see <strong>the</strong> grade descriptors for North America. The GPA (Grade Point Average)<br />

is calculated by dividing <strong>the</strong> total number <strong>of</strong> points earned under <strong>the</strong> correct category by <strong>the</strong><br />

number <strong>of</strong> courses taken. The GPA score earned is available on <strong>the</strong> report card and transcript in<br />

both Semesters 1 and 2.<br />

The GPA is cumulative only for classes taken at <strong>the</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Belgrade</strong>.<br />

Honors: To receive honors recognition students must earn at <strong>the</strong> semester:<br />

6 Very Good- Scholarship exceeds teacher<br />

expectations. Work is consistently <strong>of</strong> a high<br />

standard and shows consistent evidence <strong>of</strong><br />

analysis, syn<strong>the</strong>sis, and evaluation.<br />

5 Good- Scholarship is generally <strong>of</strong> a good<br />

standard. Has a consistent and thorough understanding<br />
