Tense Buster helps learners improve<br />

their understanding of key grammar<br />

areas from Elementary level right through<br />

to Advanced. The program is ideal as a<br />

self access resource, or integrated into a<br />

course of study and used <strong>for</strong> classwork<br />

or homework.<br />

Each unit begins with a presentation<br />

based on a dialogue, newspaper article<br />

or radio broadcast, where learners are<br />

encouraged to <strong>for</strong>m theories about how<br />

the grammar works. Next comes a grammar<br />

rule where they can confirm or<br />

correct their theories. Learners then<br />

move on to a variety of practice activities<br />

in which the <strong>language</strong> is contextualised<br />

and key aspects of <strong>for</strong>m and function are<br />

highlighted.<br />

Activities provide detailed explanatory<br />

feedback to help learners understand<br />

where they went wrong, so they can<br />

avoid making the same mistakes in future.<br />

They can also see and listen to correct<br />

answers.<br />

Tense Buster includes video-based<br />

pronunciation activities, each related to a<br />

different aspect of grammar. The<br />

program includes listening and speaking<br />

activities, and learners can generate tests<br />

on single or multiple grammar areas from<br />

a test bank of more than 1,600 items.<br />

And on completing a level, they can print<br />

a certificate — a great motivator!<br />
