important art show which began in Switzerland 41 years ago and this year celebrates
the ninth year since opening its first satellite fair in Miami. The city has emerged as a
premier destination as a contemporary arts center, and this week more than 2,000 artists
from all over the world will join with collectors, dealers, curators and art enthusiasts to
enjoy Art Basel and the numerous satellite fairs around it.
