The PAS-853 instrument is a wide range ohmmeter that measures accurately
from 0.01 to 1.0x10 12 ohms. In AUTO mode the instrument automatically
adjusts resistance range and selects test voltage in accordance with standard
practices outlined in ANSI/ESD STM11.11, and meets audit requirements of
ESD TR53:

Resistance to Ground (Rtg) Simplified
Resistance to Ground (Rtg) measurements are required to audit ESD controls such as Floors, Worksurfaces, Chairs, Carts,
Shelving and other items. The PAS system makes Rtg measurements very convenient. Simply plug a 2.5 inch PAS fixture
into the PAS-853, connect a sensing lead to ground. Place the PAS onto the surface or object to be measured and press
the pressure sensing test pad.
Measure Floors, Chairs or Carts
PAS Packaging Resistance Measurements are EASY!
Surface and Volume resistance measurements of Packaging materials per STM 11.11 and STM 11.12 are simplified using the
dual function Concentric Ring fixture and supplied test bed.

Regardless of your auditing requirements there is a cost effective PAS system kit available to meet your needs.
PAS-853 Set — An Excellent Plant Auditing Instrument
The PAS-853 instrument is available separately as a Prostat ® Set to update
your current audit kit, or in combination with a variety of fixtures, accessories
and instruments to meet all your IEC or S20.20 compliance verification
requirements.
The PAS-853 Set includes the instrument, two high quality 200 cm leads, a
dual surface test bed, conductive shunt and clips. Other fixtures and devices
are sold separately or in kits.
PAS-120 Basic Audit Kit — Meets Initial Needs
The PAS-120 Basic Audit Kit includes the PAS-853 instrument set, 2.5 inch
pad and parallel bar fixtures in a handy portfolio carrying case.
A small ground circuit tester, Qube® grounding block, nulling shunt and
convenient clips are included.
PAS-220 Audit System — Performs all TR-53
Resistance Measurements
For those requiring all resistance measurements outlined in ESD TR53,
including packaging, personnel grounding per STM97.1, garments, footwear
and measurement of ambient temperature and relative humidity, the
PAS-220 Auditing Kit is the right choice. The PAS-220 is available in a soft
side carrying case that allows for kit expansion as may be required.
PAS-TR53 Kit — Performs all TR-53 Recommended
Audit Measurements
The ultimate PAS kit covers all requirements of resistance, and ionization
auditing. When paired with a graphic recorder or data acquisition instrument
you can also determine body voltage generation. Advanced analysis of process
and analytical audit measurements are available in the complete PAS-TR53 kit.
This is the most cost effective, comprehensive audit kit in today’s market place.
The PAS-TR53 provides the widest range of auditing. In addition to all resistance
audit capabilities, the PAS-TR53 provides ionization offset and decay time
measurements, as well as body voltage generation in accordance with STM97.2.
