2.0 POSITION OBJECTIVES<br />

The <strong>Trainer</strong> and <strong>Training</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> will aim to make the Centre for Capacity Building a research based hub for capacity<br />
building programs and thereby will contribute to its and SDPI’s financial sustainability.<br />
3.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS<br />
3.1 Core Responsibilities & Duties<br />
1. Plan and manage annual training program in consultation with the Senior Capacity Building Specialist and the<br />
Senior Advisor Capacity Building.<br />
2. Conduct on-going research, market surveys, assess training needs <strong>of</strong> the potential beneficiaries/clients and<br />
plan trainings for the coming year. At least 22 trainings should be planned out <strong>of</strong> which about three trainings<br />
should be conducted at out stations.<br />
3. Carry out aggressive marketing <strong>of</strong> training events to make the CCB self-sustaining.<br />
4. Design, develop and conduct himself as many trainings as possible out <strong>of</strong> the planned trainings for the year,<br />
but will deliver at least 10 trainings in a year.<br />
5. Build training unit’s capacity to develop and conduct a major part <strong>of</strong> the planned trainings.<br />
6. Seek out trainers/subject specialists for trainings beyond training unit’s capacity, work with the trainers to<br />
ensure content, quality and good delivery.<br />
7. Evaluate trainings and write course/workshop reports.<br />
8. Seek affiliation with a prestigious institution/university.<br />
9. Seek collaboration with regional and international organizations.<br />
10. Prepare brochures and training manuals.<br />
11. Supervise <strong>Training</strong> Management Database, write post-training reports and conduct post-training on-the-job<br />
performance assessment <strong>of</strong> ex-trainees<br />
12. Carry out any other job related or administrative responsibility as determined by the Executive Director or<br />
his/her nominee and the Senior Capacity Building Specialist<br />
3.2 Occasional Significant Duties<br />
1. Assist the Advisor CCB in organizing meetings <strong>of</strong> the Study Group on Information Technology and Telecom.
