Vision In Action
Kwan Jang Nim’s Vision Tours have identified five Moo Do Values to assist
members in strengthening relationships with each other and solidifying a worldwide
structure that will ensure the future longevity of our art.
1. History: Knowing and honoring our history strengthens our identity and allows us
to value where we are in the present. Our history not only shows how our present
has been created but is the foundation upon which we will create our future.
2. Tradition: Traditions allow us to preserve the rich character of our art by carrying
the unique and original qualities of the Moo Duk Kwan from one generation of
practitioners to the next.
3. Philosophy: The philosophy of our art is embodied in both the physical manner
in which we train and the concepts that guide our training such as the Song of
the Sip Sam Seh, the 10 Articles of Faith, the 8 Key Concepts and Mission 2000.
4. Discipline/Respect: Discipline and respect are fundamental to personal
relationships. These qualities develop a practitioner’s character and create a high
value in the relationships between members.
5. Technique: Our techniques and use of Huh Ri are not only effective for selfdefense
but also allow us to more fully experience and appreciate the History,
Tradition and Philosophy of our art.
