5 Passenger Service Facilities Charge (International) Japan Narita, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Kansai. (NRT, FUK, NGO, KIX.) Definition : SW PC1 Levied on passengers departing Narita (NRT), Fukuoka (FUK), Nagoya (NGO) and Kansai (KXI) airports on international flights. To be collected on all tickets/MCOs/PTAs irrespective of place of sale. Applicable to : Passengers on international flights. KIX: PSFC to be collected on tickets issued immediately and travel on/after 01 April 2002. NGO: PSFC to be collected on tickets issued immediately and travel on/after 15 March 2000. FUK: PSFC to be collected on tickets issued immediately and travel on/after 20 May 1999. NRT: PSFC to be collected on tickets issued immediately and travel on/after 1 April 1997. (The charge is not applicable even if passengers have entered the territory of Japan through Customs and Immigration area if a scheduled arrival of incoming flight at Narita, Fukouka or Nagoya Airports and a scheduled departure of outgoing international flight from Narita, Fukuoka or Nagoya Airports are within the same calendar day. 3 National guests of foreign nations and accompanying personnel. 4 Persons evicted or denied landing in Japan by Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Law (Law No. 319 of 4 October 1951). 5Passengers of a flight that has its departure delayed to the next day or thereafter due to involuntary reasons (e.g. technical problems, weather conditions, etc.) Collected at : Sale To be collected at point of sale and shown in the ticket tax box by the code SW. Remittance : The lifting airline is responsible for the remittance. For travel before/on 31 December 1998, the charge is collected directly from the passenger by airport authority officials. No airline involvement. For travel on/after 1 January 1999, the transporting airline is responsible for remitting the charge to the airport authority. The corresponding amount will be remitted to the specified bank account on a monthly basis by the set date. In the case where the charge is collected at sale, the charge is interlineable.
