2.00 A V A I L A B I L I T Y A N D T Y P E S<br />

O F S E R V I C E<br />

2.01 TERRITORIAL LIMITS<br />

The rules, regulations, rates, charges and fees herein prescribed shall be applicable to the<br />

supply of water and the furnishing of services and facilities by the <strong>Authority</strong> within or<br />

without the territorial limits of the <strong>Erie</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Water</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> district (created by<br />

Section 1052 et. seq. of the Public Authorities Law).<br />

2.02 TYPES OF SERVICE AVAILABLE<br />

Upon compliance with the rules and regulations herein prescribed and the payment of<br />

service charges and deposits applicable to the service requested, the <strong>Authority</strong> will<br />

furnish and provide service to the following categories of customers:<br />

A. DOMESTIC, INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL USERS<br />

1. <strong>Water</strong> will be provided from existing mains appropriate to the service requested<br />

as prescribed in the paragraphs hereof numbered 2.03 to 2.05 inclusive; or<br />

2. Where the owner's premises abuts a street in which there is no existing main<br />

appropriate to the service requested or the existing main does not extend across the<br />

full frontage of the premises; service will be provided upon the execution of an<br />

appropriate main extension contract as provided in Section 10.00 hereof.<br />

B. PUBLIC CORPORATIONS AND SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS<br />

1. Service will be furnished adequate for the service of water for all purposes within its<br />

corporate limits to public corporations and special improvement districts which do not<br />

own or are not connected to an independent source of water supply as provided in<br />

paragraphs 2.06 to 2.12 inclusive subject to approval by the New York State<br />

Department of Health.<br />

2. Service will be furnished as a supplemental supply for all purposes within its corporate<br />

limits to public corporations and special improvement districts which own or are<br />

connected to an independent source of water supply as provided in paragraphs 2.13<br />

to 2.16 inclusive, subject to approval by the New York State Department of Health and<br />

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Office of Environmental<br />

Analysis.<br />
