Asin Approached For Rana By Baiju NT [February 13, 2011] According to reliable sources, South Indian beauty Asin has been approached by the makers of South Indian superstar Rajinikanth’s next film Rana to be directed by K.S. Ravikumar under the banner of Eros International and Chennai based Ocher Studios. The sources said even a one-line summary of the script has been narrated to the actress and she is keen to team up with the super star, since the script fascinates her and the film has A.R. Sources said that the father character will appear only in flashback. The film is about Mathu- kutti’s mission to accomplish a long cherished dream of his father. The Green Bay Packers’’ 31- 25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Texas drew a U.S. TV audience of 111 million, topping the 2010 final tally by almost 5 million, according to data released on Monday by broadcaster Fox. Canada Government Funds Film About Hindu Lord Shiva Nevada (US), Feb 18 Canada Government has reportedly funded a documentary on Lord Shiva, one of the divine trio of the Hindus— Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva. Titled “The Great Night of Shiva”, which is premiering on February 23, revolves around extremely auspicious Mahashivaratri festival celebrated in honor of Lord Shiva, which falls on March three this year. Welcoming this Canada Government gesture, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has described it as “a step in the right direction”. Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Canada Government should fund more Hinduism focused film projects as Hinduism was a storehouse of wisdom and Canada had considerable and increasing population of Hindus.
