Paul Cosgrove ’98<br />
Subway Celebrity<br />
During October, Paul Cosgrove ’98 (RIGHT) was one<br />
<strong>of</strong> nine faces appearing in a poster campaign for his<br />
alma mater, St. Francis <strong>College</strong> in Brooklyn Heights.<br />

Terminal station showed a student or alumnus <strong>of</strong><br />
the college, with a quote describing the benefits<br />
each had gained at St. Francis, where Dr. Cosgrove,<br />
earned his BA in 1993.<br />
Shahrzad Sami ’02 and her husband, Dr. Habib<br />
Sadeghi, have received the True Originals Award from<br />
the Virginia Avenue Project for mentoring children, in<br />
Santa Monica, California.<br />
Adam Schulh<strong>of</strong>, Ortho ’03 is a board-certified orthodontist<br />
and co-founder <strong>of</strong> KinderSmiles in Oradell,<br />
New Jersey, specializing in cosmetic solutions for<br />
orthodontic cases. He is the creator <strong>of</strong> Incognito<br />
Lite-braces, which remain fitted behind the teeth for<br />
six months and cost less than traditional braces.<br />
Amy Bryer ’04, currently department head and<br />
Assistant GPR Director at Camp Pendleton<br />
Naval Hospital in San Diego, has been named 2013<br />
dental team lead on the Pacific Partnership, a multi-disciplinary<br />
effort addressing health needs in Tonga,<br />
Samoa, Solomon Islands, Republic <strong>of</strong> Marshall Islands,<br />
Kiribati, and Papua New Guinea. Dr. Bryer envisions<br />
deploying a joint multidisciplinary healthcare and<br />
support team to shift the current paradigm from<br />
providing care to one that will build and strengthen<br />
the healthcare infrastructure in third-world nations<br />
through self-supporting sustainment.<br />
Dr. Bryer previously served a 14-month assignment on<br />
Diego Garcia, a tropical atoll in the Indian Ocean.<br />
Congratulations to Michael Leifert, Ortho ‘04 and<br />
Ronniette Garcia, Ortho ’03, AEGD ‘07 on the August<br />
17th birth <strong>of</strong> their daughter Isabella Victoria Leifert.<br />
Both parents are assistant clinical pr<strong>of</strong>essors in CDM's<br />
Division <strong>of</strong> Orthdontics and <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> the Orthodontic<br />
Alumni Society.<br />
