Jim Watters was appointed to <strong>the</strong> Board of Directors for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Farmers</strong>’<br />

<strong>Fair</strong> in April of 2012. He is a fifth generation hay and grain farmer in<br />

Port Murray where he farms 700 acres with his fa<strong>the</strong>r and bro<strong>the</strong>r.<br />

He is married and has 3 children. Jim is very active in his community<br />

and currently serves as a director of <strong>the</strong> Livestock Auction Market in<br />

Hackettstown. He also serves on <strong>the</strong> executive board for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Warren</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> Board of Agriculture, on <strong>the</strong> Mansfield Open Space<br />

Committee, Municipal and Charitable Conservancy Trust Committee<br />

and is a trustee of <strong>the</strong> Rockport Presbyterian Church in Port Murray.<br />

Jim will be in charge of <strong>the</strong> open cattle barn and checking health<br />

papers for all animals on <strong>the</strong> grounds this year.<br />

Mary Beth Castimore has held <strong>the</strong> position of Vendor Secretary<br />

since 1999. She handles all <strong>the</strong> duties associated with signing up<br />

vendors, handling all paperwork from contracts and insurance<br />

forms to ordering tents. Mary Beth works with over 150 vendors<br />

from food to businesses selling various products to local non profits<br />

to veteran related organizations. She has to make sure <strong>the</strong>y are<br />

set up in <strong>the</strong>ir ‘spot’ for opening day. She is always prepared to<br />

answer any questions <strong>the</strong>y may have before and during <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>.<br />

Whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>y are coming to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> to sell <strong>the</strong>ir wares, serve food<br />

or to pass out information about <strong>the</strong>ir products, services or company<br />

Mary Beth is <strong>the</strong>re to assist <strong>the</strong>m with all of <strong>the</strong>ir requirements.<br />

Toge<strong>the</strong>r Rich and MaryBeth make a dedicated team at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>.<br />

Betty Turcic has been <strong>the</strong> Ground’s Rental Secretary since 2007 handling<br />

<strong>the</strong> rental contracts, scheduling bookings of <strong>the</strong> grounds and<br />

<strong>the</strong> paperwork associated with <strong>the</strong> storage of farm equipment. During<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> you’ll find her setting up for <strong>the</strong> livestock and Holstein shows<br />

and on <strong>the</strong> Friday before <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> opens, she’s busy with <strong>the</strong> registration<br />

and set up of <strong>the</strong> hay and silage shows. Prior to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> she’s<br />

busy sending out entry tags/registration forms to <strong>the</strong> past exhibitors<br />

for <strong>the</strong> animal and hay shows and preparing rules and regulations for<br />

<strong>the</strong>se shows. Following <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> she prepares <strong>the</strong> winners lists from<br />

her shows. In June of 2012 Betty accepted <strong>the</strong> additional duties of<br />

financial secretary. This year you will find her in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> office assisting<br />

<strong>the</strong> treasurer with <strong>the</strong> gate workers and grandstand ticket takers.<br />

Leah Laubach is responsible for one of <strong>the</strong> hottest spots on <strong>the</strong><br />

fairgrounds – <strong>the</strong> Kids’ Corral. Leah handles many duties and continues<br />

to grow <strong>the</strong> childrens activity area (with <strong>the</strong> help of her husband<br />

Eric) by adding more interactive fun. Leah will be <strong>the</strong> first to<br />

tell you how much credit her staff deserves. She has worked closely<br />

with Giulia to bring <strong>the</strong>ir vision for an educational, fun and<br />

affordable attraction for fairgoers to fruition.<br />

Giulia Iannitelli is our advertising manager and co-coordinator of <strong>the</strong><br />

Balloon Festival. This year she would like to forego her “5 minutes of<br />

fame” in <strong>the</strong> program book to thank her nephew Armando Taddei for all<br />

his help during <strong>the</strong> past 13 years. He is off to Oklahoma State University<br />

this year and if he is as dedicated to OSU as he has been to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>, he<br />

will end up on TV one day. (She hopes he doesn’t forget about her.)<br />

Fred Grotenhuis, <strong>the</strong> balloonmeister of <strong>the</strong> Balloon Festival at <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Warren</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Farmers</strong>’ <strong>Fair</strong> conceived <strong>the</strong> idea 13 years ago. The<br />

added attraction has helped <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> to continue to grow. The pilots<br />

that attend have a great deal of respect for Fred.<br />

Tony Iannitelli has taken promotional photos for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Warren</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

<strong>Farmers</strong>’ <strong>Fair</strong> and Balloon Festival for <strong>the</strong> past few years. Many of<br />

<strong>the</strong> photos on <strong>the</strong> cover and throughout this book were taken by<br />

Tony. He also helps with <strong>the</strong> Mr. & Ms. <strong>Warren</strong> <strong>County</strong> contests.<br />

We want to thank everyone who volunteers at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> whe<strong>the</strong>r it is<br />

a donation of your time, expertise/talents and/or with a monetary<br />

donation; we wouldn’t be able to provide a successful agricultural<br />

based, family oriented <strong>Farmers</strong>’ <strong>Fair</strong> to <strong>the</strong> public without YOU.<br />
