General Product Information<br />
<strong>Clariant</strong> provides a broad range of defoamers for coatings, paints and inks. These products provide defoaming,<br />
an tifoaming, leveling, antimar, roll release, lubricity and antistatic properties. Because every component affects<br />
the properties of a finished coating, <strong>Clariant</strong> recommends that our products be carefully screened in the customer’s<br />
formulation. Our laboratory can evaluate additives in your systems and recommend the best-performing<br />
and most cost-effective solution for your application. Our products include 100% active synthetic-, silicone- and<br />
mineral-oil-based defoamers as well as silicone and organo-silicone emulsions.<br />

Excellent general purpose defoamer for water based coatings.<br />
Very well suited for use in acrylic based, architectural paints.<br />
Can be added during grind or letdown phase. Product imparts<br />
rapid deaeration and good persistence.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C114<br />
Highly effective, 100% active defoamer for paints and coatings.<br />
Good persistence and compatibility with most systems. Excellent<br />
in controlling foam in paints based on synthetic latexes.<br />
Provides superior bubble break on rollout.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C114E<br />
Readily dispersible oil and organic defoamer for addition to<br />
waterborne paint during let-down. Provides smooth films and<br />
superior bubble break on rollout. Also, excellent for nonpigmented<br />

Very efficient general purpose coating defoamer. Excellent<br />
compatibility in most waterborne coating systems with minimal<br />
effect on gloss.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C301<br />
Low-VOC, mineral oil-free defoamer that provides excellent<br />
performance and compatibility in a wide range of inks and<br />
coatings. Will not swell the rubber rolls or plates used with<br />
aqueous flexo inks. May be added in either letdown or grind<br />
stage.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C330<br />
A highly effective synthetic defoamer for acrylic, acrylic<br />
copolymer and polyvinyl alcohol systems.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C331<br />
Lower cost alternative to D-Foam-R C330 with similar<br />
performance and features.<br />
n D-FOAM-R C920<br />
100% active silicone based antifoam for solvent borne and<br />
solvent free epoxy, urethane and acrylic (uV & EB curable)<br />
coatings. Effective at very low concentrations, it removes<br />
entrained air to provide superior coating gloss and clarity.<br />
It also improves slip and mar resistance of UV-curable<br />
coatings. Excellent grind phase defoamer for pigmented<br />
coatings.<br />
