AMAA Ministries All the successes that AMAA has had this past year around the world are too numerous to include in these pages. We have tried to provide the important highlights to give you a basic understanding of the scope of our ministries, which you will note is very extensive. Ministry efforts have touched the lives of thousands of people worldwide. Job development initiatives remain an important focus in Armenia to help the people become more self-sufficient. We thank God for the ability and means He has granted us to effectively handle so many initiatives, blessing so many lives. This is made possible through the generous contributions of our donors, and many dedicated volunteers, exceptional staff, and strong systems and controls. A few of the many successes this year include: • The 20th anniversary of the Armenian Children’s Milk Fund. The Milk Fund provides formula in Armenia and Karabagh to infants that mothers cannot breastfeed. The Fund has saved thousands of infant lives over the 20 years it has existed. • A new and growing ministry in Germany reaching many lives for the kingdom of God with worship services and fellowships in three towns. • A medical mission trip to Armenia. A medical team from the USA traveled to Spitak and Stepanavan to provide free medical services and free medications to the impoverished. During the week they were there, 522 patients were seen. The team also provided ministries to the children and evening worship services. • Two job development initiatives were implemented in Armenia: a shoe manufacturing project in Vanatzor and a heifer project in various villages. The heifer project provides a cow to each family. Each family, in turn, agrees to impregnate its cow and provide a cow to another needy family. AMAA ministries are grouped into four main categories: Churches and Missions, Evangelism, Education, and Relief Aid. How AMAA accomplishes its mission in each of these four categories is summarized in the following pages. The effort is daunting and difficult but necessary. With your help, AMAA has the capability to accomplish the tasks for which the Lord has called us. Together, we can make a real difference in many, many lives throughout the world. Churches and Missions The AMAA was established through the vision of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the United States for missions and they became the mainstay of support for its programs. Over the years, AMAA supported churches and missions both at home and overseas. As large numbers of Armenians emmigrated to new areas, the necessity to establish new churches Armenian Evangelical Church of Ashrafieh, Lebanon became essential. Through AMAA’s support, churches are planted and supported in North America, Armenia, Europe, and the Middle East. Today, there are 145 Armenian Evangelical Churches and Fellowships around the world where the Gospel is preached. Ministries in Germany continue to grow and construction of the new church building in Belgium is in the first phase of renovations. Christmas Worship Service at the Armenian Evangelical Church of Tehran, Iran Evangelism Teach, preach, and be a witness to all nations - this is evangelism. It was the vital command that Jesus gave to His disciples. AMAA has faithfully followed Christ’s instruction and today AMAA supports 45 major evangelistic programs including Bible Study groups, Child Evangelism, Summer Camps, daily Vacation Bible Schools, missionary outreaches, and distribution of Bibles and Christian literature. Through these programs, not only has AMAA changed the lives of thousands of people, but it has also inspired hope for future generations. Bringing people the good news of eternal life in Christ is the best and most important part of all the AMAA does. Rev.
