Lauren Gargaro Grace writes: “I am
living in Rye, NY, with my husband,
Michael, and 2 daughters ages 7 and 4.
After ten years in New York City, the NY
suburbs are a nice relaxing change.
I am currently a full-time mother and
just celebrated my 10-year wedding
anniversary. I always look forward to our
summer visits to Detroit/Grosse Pointe.
The Detroit Institute of Arts is our first
stop — if you haven’t been in a while,
go visit!”
Amanda Smith Nieman reports: “I’ve
lived in Chicago since 1999 and this year
I got married! The wedding was in
Dearborn, on April 30 and the reception
was at The Henry Ford Museum.”

Julee Mertz writes: “Since 1997, I’ve
been running Big City Swing, the studio
for Swing and Lindy Hop lessons and
performances in Chicago. What started
as a hobby has turned into an inspiring
adventure of founding a small business,
performing across the U.S. in “Swing!
The Broadway Musical” and teaching
in England, Australia, Switzerland and
the Netherlands. I’m so thankful for the
critical thinking and writing skills I
learned while at Liggett. They have been
essential to running the business side of
an artistic venture.”
Katy Campbell Podolan reports: “I’m
living in Troy, Mich., with my two
daughters Anna (9 years old) and Kathryn
(7 years old). I’m a software project
manager for a logistics and customs
company based out of Linz, Austria.”
Ali Frederick Folz writes: “Living life in
the Washington State with my husband
and two daughters. Recently published
a children’s chapter book, “Indigo’s
Bracelet.” Looking for a publisher/agent
to help produce the next books in the
series. Wish I would have taken grammar
lessons at Liggett more seriously!
Attended our 20th year reunion at Liggett
this May. Great to see everyone. Looking
forward to returning soon.”
