MAHARASHTRA-II<br />

Sangli : The first meeting was held on<br />

13.04.2011 with 20 members. An appeal was made<br />

to incrase the membership. A blood donation camp<br />

was held on 9th April at Dr. Chaitanya's residence<br />

at Haripur. 30 persons donated blood. Oath was<br />

taken by all members as well as office bearers in<br />

front of chief guest Ex Judge Pramod Bhokare<br />

(Advocate). He delivered a speech on his<br />

experiences in court working & answered questions<br />

raised by members.<br />

Second meeting was held on 29-04-2011.<br />

Secretary Vaibhav Joshi welcomed all members.<br />

He introduced the speaker Neeta Kelkar. She spoke<br />

on the subject of 'role of women after 50%<br />

reservation'. She was felicitated for entering in the<br />

pooja area of Mahalaxmi Temple, Kolhapur which<br />

was prohibited for women till then. Shri Telang gave<br />

a report of the state level workshop held at Pune<br />

on 24th April. Mr. Telang, Lulla & Vaibhav Joshi<br />

attended the said workshop.<br />

During the third meeting held on 11th may it<br />

was reported by Treasurer Pratima Ukidave that till<br />

today 32 members had enrolled for the membership<br />

of the branch. Secretary Vaibhav introduced speaker<br />

Vinit Paranjpe. He spoke on the subject of Sanskar<br />

Mhanje Kai. A lively discussion was made amongst<br />

children & parents. <strong>Bharat</strong>i Digade & Sunita Bajaj<br />

were reminded to conduct the shivir for children in<br />

the 4th week of May. The conveners for 3 main<br />

activities were appointed as under : Samuh Gan<br />

P.H. Kulkarni, BKJ Sudhir Joshi, GVCA Vishal<br />

Gaikwad.<br />

The fourth meeting of the branch was held on<br />

25th May. It was reported by him that Rs. 9250/-<br />

were sent towards central & state share. He<br />

introduced the speaker of the day Chintamani<br />

Sahastrabuddhe of dainik pudhari, who spoke on<br />

the subject importance of history.<br />

'Bal Sanskar Shibir’ was organized on 30 th<br />

May at Shailendra Telang’s residence at Haripur in<br />

which 35 children participated. The age group was<br />

5 to 15. Ms. Nilima Limeye , Mr. Shashikant<br />

Ainapure and Mrs. Prachi Godbole were faculty<br />

members. The contents were slide show on<br />

environment protection, stories on sanskar, health<br />

care etc. Useful books were distributed as gift to<br />

the children.<br />

DELHI SOUTH<br />

A-Block Janakpuri : The first camp of the<br />

academic session 2011-12 was declared open on<br />

10th April in a simple but solemn ceremony by S.P.<br />

Bhatia, President of the branch in the presence of<br />

its functionaries and members of executive. The<br />

functionaries were introduced to the 95 participating<br />

trainees of 10-14 age group of the various schools.<br />

Two more such camps were also organized on<br />

subsequent 17th & 24th April attended by 105 & 86<br />

children respectively. The branch participated in Ram<br />

Shobha Yatra organized by Dharmik Samajik Sangh,<br />

Janakpuri to commemorate Ram Navami on 17th<br />

April. Clothes, old in name only but in a very good<br />

condittion, collected by the untiring efforts of Shri<br />

K.L. Verma, incharge of this project, were distributed<br />

among the 30 needy families of Sewa Basti,<br />

adopted by the branch. In a fairly well attended<br />

regular monthly meeting, an enlightening talk on<br />

'Vairagya and Bhakti in Human Life' by an eminent<br />

social worker Dr. N.L. Madan was delivered.<br />

B-Block, Janakpuri: The branch organized<br />

a very special program on 15-05-2011 with the<br />

objective of motivating likeminded elite & educated<br />

residents to join our fold. 60 senior functionaries of<br />

BVP and other organizations attended the function.<br />

Dr. (Shrimati) Usha Lal, a renowned speaker gave<br />

a very stimulating talk on the subject “Bhakti Keun<br />

Aur Kaise”. Question –Answer session followed after<br />

the talk. The branch is collecting every month<br />

unutilized medicines from members and giving to<br />

DDU Hospital for the use of poor patients. Five<br />

Dental camps were organized during May 2011<br />

benefiting 51 dental cases and 7 De-addiction<br />

cases.<br />

Janakpuri Main : Bal sanskar shivir was<br />

organized by the branch from 16th to 29.05.2011at<br />

S.D. Mandir. The shivir was inaugurated by P.R.<br />

Sahni former mayor of Delhi. About 108 students<br />

participated & learnt the art of Yoga & Pranayam<br />

from eminent Yogarcharyas like G.B. Sharma & P.D.<br />

Maheshwari. The shivir was organized by P.N.<br />

Grover branch advisor & V.S. Gupta organizing<br />

Secretary. Shri I.D. Ojha National Working President,<br />

Shri B.L. Parasher Secretary, B.N. Malhotra, R.P.<br />

Arora Principal Saraswati Shishu Mandir,<br />
