Since the first graduating class in
2005, SCA Scholars have enrolled
in more than 65 colleges and
universities across the U.S.
Consistently, SCA Scholars graduate
from high school with top academic
honors and pursue higher education.
Many earn prestigious national awards
following high school, including
the Gates Millennium and Posse
Foundation Scholarships.
One hundred percent of the SCA
Scholars high school class of 2012
will enroll in higher education within
six months of graduation; 95% will
matriculate directly into four-year
institutions. Of this group, over half will
attend a private college or university and
47% will attend a “very selective” or
“most selective” school.

2007
The Kathryne Beynon Foundation funds
the inaugural Math and Science Scholars
Program to provide science research
opportunities.
2008
The program is re-named “Scripps College
Academy” to reflect the year-round format.
SCA expands work-study opportunities
for Scripps College students to more than
30 annually.
