Welcome to the Premium Beef Sale, the 2013 edition.
We understand that March is not always the easiest time
to escape from the farm, between chores, calving and
a hockey game, things can be hectic! This year, with
the exception of our two Red Force bulls, the offering
is sired by our own walking bulls. We are pushing each
year for more of the “if we don’t own them, we don’t
breed to them” type of program. So look for the progeny
from House, Surge, Crimson Tide and Logan and
I don’t think you will be disappointed. We look forward
to assisting you with your new herdsire purchase and
appreciate your interest in our program. Hope to visit
with you sale day!
Here is one of the deepest bodied, thickest quartered bulls we have ever raised!
Milhouse is a bull with tons of performance, lots of eye appeal and great testicular
development. He delivers the highly sought after Black Baldy look with a little different
pedigree. We showed Milhouse at MLE this past fall where he
topped his class, and was also on exhibition at Ag Days Bull
Congress in Brandon this past January. His sire, House, has
done a great job at our place and we use him as much today
as we ever have. The calves come easy and have a lot of grow
to them. Milhouse’s dam is always commented on by visitors to
the farm. While she is a feminine, wide based cow, she adds to
the performance in Milhouse’s pedigree with the Fleckvieh influence
on the bottom side. Use Milhouse on cows for his power
and performance. He won’t be hard to find come sale day! We
would like to retain 100 straws of semen for in herd use only.
Power Surge is a moderate framed, well built, easy doing
bull with some extra age to him. Calving ease built in on both
sides of his pedigree and is homo polled by parentage. His
dam is a solid black, long bodied cow with lots of capacity,
great feet and a good udder. She was also the Reserve
Champion Little Lady Classic female at MLE a few years
ago. His sire, Surge 9S, is our red calving ease specialist.
Our Red Angus cattle are all bred to him and we really like the
thickness and tidy udders that he transmits to his offspring,
including the easy calving and vigor that the calves have.
Here is a bull that is guaranteed to sire some great calves!
