My research efforts have focused on network formation in glassy thermosets <strong>and</strong><br />

blends of thermosets with thermoplastics. I developed a model for shear b<strong>and</strong><br />

formation in these systems as a function of network parameters such as<br />

conversion, cross-link density, <strong>and</strong> mechanical properties. I extended the work to<br />

include fracture <strong>and</strong> healing behavior. Additionally, I have developed several<br />

protocols for the accelerated ageing <strong>and</strong> characterization of commercial PVC<br />

materials <strong>and</strong> epoxy-based industrial coatings formulations.<br />
