Dual pressure controllers for high and
low pressure
Description
017 models are dual mechanical pressure switches for high
and low pressure with unipolar SPDT switch, which closes
and opens when the pressure increases or decreases.
These pressure switches can be operated automatically both
with high and low pressure, have a manual reset button
for high and low pressure, and can be configured with
automatic cycle for low pressure and manual reset for high
pressure.
The tripping pressure can be adjusted by means of a screw
on all versions, while the differential is adjustable on models
with automatic reset. Some models have T.U.V. barometric
capsules.
Models with this configuration have a “capsule enclosed in
the capsule” so that the second capsule holds the coolant
and stops the plant when a leak occurs in the working
capsule.
The 4000 model with dual signal enables to establish if the
compressor has been disconnected due to a high or low
pressure. Standard versions have a male flared fitting. It is
also possible to order versions with 1,000 mm integrated
capillary with flared fitting and nut or versions with rigid
tube (100 mm length, 6 mm diameter) when the thermostat
is brazed to the cooling plant.
All versions without capillary can be equipped with a
stainless steel fitting for ammonia.

Scale: p.s.i. and bar (bar only for T.U.V. models).
Connections to pressure line: 7/16 – 20 UNF straight output
male connector, 1/4 flared female connector.
Electrical ratings: the electrical rating of the unipolar SPDT
switch, except for versions with dual signal, is 16(16)A
250Va N.O. or N.C.; 1(1)A 250Va on the opposite side.
Model 017 with dual signal: transmitted with terminals 1
and 4 as above; the maximum current between terminals
1–2 and 1–3 is 0.1A 250Va.
Compliance: all models are compliant with EN60730–2–6
and EN60730–2–9, and manufactured in accordance with
the requirements of standard ISO9001. These thermostats
are also compliant with current European standards.
Special versions only: USA (UL) and Canada (CSA) 17 FLA
102 LRA 250Va.
Terminals of model O17 standard: 1 common, 2 opens when
the pressure increases, 4 closes when the low pressure
increases and opens when the high pressure increases.
Terminals of model 017 with dual signal: 1 common 2 closes
the signal circuit when the low pressure decreases, 3 closes
the signal circuit when the high pressure increases, 4 closes
the signal circuit when the low pressure increases and
opens it when the high pressure increases.
Cable input: 14 mm insulated bushing.
Coolants: suitable to be used with all types of gases.
Mounting: two male holes on the rear of the controller for
the insertion of M4x6 mm screws (supplied with the
thermostat).
