Brothers and Sisters of the AHEPA Family:
I am pleased to write you today on behalf of the Biennial Banquet Committee, to invite and provide you
pertinent information regarding the 40 th Biennial Banquet scheduled for Wednesday May 22, 2013 in
Washington, DC.
This year’s banquet is a very special one. We are honoring members of Congress, members of the Hellenic
Caucus and members who support our Hellenic causes. It is our American sense of pride and community
which brings us together to educate our members of Congress about our issues and more importantly about
AHEPA. Additionally, AHEPA will be honoring members of the military by honoring the Tomb of the
Unknowns. This black tie event will be held at the:

This year we will be asking every chapter to purchase a table in support of our banquet. I will be contacting
our table “captains” in hopes of having a sellout crowd. We have limited seating for this year’s banquet, so
everyone is asked to act quickly. AHEPA headquarters will send formal invitations to every congressperson,
but they need to hear from their constituents.
This letter is being sent to you to give you advance notice and we urge you to prepare your friends and
family for an enjoyable time in our Nation's Capital. We are making arrangements to have the AHEPA
Capitol Hill day session earlier in the day, so please make every effort to attend this special event. The
Committee and I hope you seriously consider attending this year’s banquet, it will be most memorable.
