of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>’s successes during the ‘golden era’ of the 1970s and 80s.<br />
In <strong>2010</strong> Martin Horton received the Bert Sutcliffe Medal - a lifetime<br />
achievement award for outstanding services to cricket.<br />
A quality all-rounder, Martin Horton scored 19,945 First-Class runs and<br />
took 825 wickets in a career spanning 19 years. He also represented<br />
England in two Test matches against India in 1959.<br />
He was an outstanding cricketer and valued staff member during his<br />
time at NZC.<br />
