Contributions, Memorials,
From the Foundation
Board President
Chad Beatty
We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of the individuals, businesses
and organizations that supported us throughout the year. Their donations
helped enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their
families. If your name was inadvertently omitted, we apologize and please
let us know for future listings.
Although many local, regional and national non-profit organizations
had financial difficulties throughout 2011, Saratoga Bridges had yet
another record breaking fundraising season. We exceeded our budget
projections primarily due to our extremely generous sponsors, donors,
guests, volunteers and community partners. These businesses and
individuals continue to contribute their resources because they believe
in our mission. We encourage you to support our philanthropic
donors listed below as their contributions help to subsidize our
programs and services that are not funded through traditional funding
sources. Their involvement is greatly appreciated and we value all of
these relationships!
We generated $114,075 in sponsorship with $49,850 directed as
season sponsors and $64,225 to a specific event. This is an increase
of almost $35,000 from 2010. In particular, these 8 fundraising and
special events raised an incredible $185,500 (net) for the Foundation:
• Hattie’s 10th Annual Mardi Gras Ball — $20,000
• 2011 Masters Golf Tournament Raffle — $8,000
• 8th Annual J. Michael Fitzgibbons Golf Classic — $18,000
• White Party – Havana Nights Gala — $82,000
• 22nd Annual ‘Travers Day at the Races’ — $17,000
• 2nd Annual All Car & Truck Show — $3,000
• Joyce Spratt Memorial Golf Outing — $5,500
• 11th Annual Great Pumpkin Challenge — $32,000
Also, we had two successful campaigns during the year:
$18,165 for capital improvements in our Residential Program
$14,554 for Family Support Services
In 2011, we began a Capital Campaign for The Memorial Garden at
our Administrative campus on Saratoga Bridges Boulevard in Ballston
Spa. It will be a living tribute in perpetuity to honor the lives of
individuals and family members who have passed away.
Thus far, we received a very generous leadership gift of $25,000 from
Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation. Other family members have
purchased benches and bricks. We will continue to encourage others
to make a lasting gift. Over time, the impact will be felt throughout
our community.
I am grateful to our Operational, Foundation and Honorary Advisory
Board Members as they serve as a link between the Saratoga Bridges
family and the community. Their professional and personal expertise
and experiences are invaluable. They volunteer, help generate
contributions, provide advice, increase our visibility and project a
positive reputation. Further, I personally want to thank all of our
supporters and exemplary employees. By working as a team, we will
continue to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental
disabilities and their families who rely on us to provide the highest
quality services and programs in Saratoga County.
