Five Star Kitchen
Congratulations to Debbie Tuxhorn and the entire Nutrition Services team

Employee Art
SMCSR will hold its Second Annual Employee Art show from October 22 to
November 5. Last year's show was a smashing success. Start gathering
your art now for submission - all works must be framed and ready for

Call to Action
Come Support the New SMCSR Hospital Project on Thursday, May 27
at 12:00 PM. The New Hospital project will be considered this month by the
Sonoma County Planning Commission. Approval by the Planning
Commission is a critical step in getting the New Hospital approved and
under construction. Patient care at SMCSR comes first so attend the
meeting only if you are not scheduled to work the afternoon of
Thursday, May 27. Please share this meeting information with colleagues,
family or friends and encourage them to attend and support the new
SMCSR hospital. The meeting will be held at Sonoma County Planning
Commission, Permit and Resources Management Department Hearing
Room, 2550 Ventura Avenue, Santa Rosa at Noon (lunch will be provided).

Online Annual Report
Check out the 2010 Sutter Health annual report, which showcases our
system's collective advancements in quality, patient safety, access,
affordability and more. Throughout the report, you'll also find many of your
colleagues' 6 Words entries from last year's contest. Plus, be sure to watch
the fun, new 6 Words video featured on the home page. Going paperless
with our annual report since 2006 has also saved tens of thousands of
dollars – and has spared nearly 50 trees. You can experience the Sutter

Finance Transition
Payroll and Accounts Payable (AP) services will be relocated to offices in
San Francisco as part of Sutter Health's West Bay regionalization. This will
affect paper issued paychecks (which will now be mailed), employee
expense reimbursements, access to payroll/AP and eSelf Service online.
We anticipate a full transition by the end of May. For specifics on these
changes, please read Steve Morales' Transition Memo.

Sutter Cycles Marin
Come join the SMCSR crew and ride the 17th Annual Holstein 100 Charity
Bike Ride on Saturday, August 21. Distances include 100, 67, 35, or 15-
mile routes winding along the beautiful Marin and Sonoma coast, Tomales
Bay and rolling hills with happy Holstein cows. Enjoy locally grown and
baked foods. The ride begins/ends at Tomales High (Tomales). For more

Five Star Party!
Save the date! The SMCSR Sutter Health President’s Award Celebration
will be held on Wednesday, May 19, under the five-star banner in the front
physicians parking lot. We'll have music, food and special guests. Be sure
to join us for the official award presentation made by Sutter Health CEO
Pat Fry at 5:00 pm. Come to the event with your suggestions on how
SMCSR should use the $250,000 affiliate award.

eSelf Service Online Tutorial
You may now use eSelf Service to look up previous paychecks, benefits,
performance reviews, PTO balances, and change tax withholdings, update
contact data, modify direct deposit bank information and much more.
Employees with direct deposit are no longer receiving paper stubs of
their paychecks. Use eSelf Service to view direct deposits, print paystubs
or to opt out of this electronic paperless option. For information and user
instructions, view the eSelf Service online tutorial.

Bike to Work
Join SMCSR in Bike to Work Day on May 13. From 6:00 am - 9:00 am,
bike commuters can stop at one of 28 "energizer" stations (one is
sponsored by Sutter) for coffee, food and prize giveaways. Participating
employees who register online are also eligible for free street skills classes,
Rialto movies and awesome prizes. For more information, contact Shaun

SMCSR Heart Walk
Come walk with us by joining Sutter Medical Center's Heart Walk Team.
The AHA North Bay Heart Walk is a non-competitive 1, 2.5, & 5 mile
walk/run event which raises awareness and funds in the fight against the
Nation's #1 cause of death, cardiovascular disease. There will be children's
activities, BBQ lunch, exhibit booths, VIP Tent and Health Fair! The walk
will be held on September 19, 2010, at Howarth Park. For those interested
in volunteering to be a team captain or if have questions, contact Mindy

All SMCSR employees are invited to celebrate Hospital Week, May 6 - 12.
Festivities include a catered Hawaiian Beach Party, Ice Cream Social,

Caramel Toffee Frappes
Stevie's selected drinks of the week are English Toffee Lattes and a
