Stylish celebration
of 30 years in Asia
Leighton has celebrated the 30th anniversary of its
establishment in Asia with a gala dinner in Hong Kong.
More than 600 staff and guests enjoyed an
outstanding event that featured a nostalgic look
at the company’s achievements since 1975,
and a video of humorous interviews and
recollections of the company’s longest serving
staff members.
The dinner coincided with a visit to Hong Kong
by the Leighton Holdings Board, which was
holding its annual planning meeting. Many of
the Board, including chairman Geoff Ashton
and Chief Executive Wal King, attended the
dinner. Leighton Holdings’ former managing
director Stewart Wallis, who initiated Leighton’s
move to Hong Kong, also attended.

leading broad-based construction and mining
contractor in the region,” Will said.
