Covered Services<br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong> pays for the<br />

mental health and drug and<br />

alcohol services listed below.<br />

You must have permission<br />

from your treatment team to<br />

use these services and they<br />

must be considered medically<br />

necessary.<br />

Covered Services:<br />

• Admission to a hospital for 24-hour care for mental or emotional<br />

illness<br />

• 24-hour care and rehabilitation for alcohol or other drug problems in<br />

a hospital or non-hospital setting<br />

• Partial hospital day programs for mental illness<br />

• Outpatient services for mental health or drug and alcohol treatment<br />

• Detox (detoxification) from alcohol and other drugs<br />

• Methadone maintenance (for treating people with drug addiction)<br />

• Laboratory services (if ordered by a psychiatrist in our network)<br />

• Case management services<br />

• Crisis services<br />

Treatment team: The group of health<br />

professionals who are taking care<br />

of you. This includes people from<br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Care</strong> and your provider’s<br />

office.<br />

Medically Necessary: This describes<br />

services that are used on a regular<br />

basis to treat a mental health or drug<br />

and alcohol problem. These services<br />

are needed to keep you stable and<br />

healthy.<br />
