Three specialist chapters have been written on financial<br />
analysts, pension funds and fund management, respectively<br />
by Francis Condon, Stephen Davis and Mehdi Mahmud.<br />
Mehdi Mahmud is Executive Vice-President at Jennison<br />
Associates, a US investment firm. He is responsible for the<br />
investment oversight of the firm's “Value, Blend, and Small-<br />
Cap” equity capabilities. Mehdi is also responsible for setting<br />
the strategic direction of the firm. Previously, Mehdi was a<br />
portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan <strong>Investment</strong> Management,<br />
and served as deputy to the Global Chief <strong>Investment</strong> Officer at<br />
Credit Suisse Asset Management.<br />

Francis Condon is the Head of European Steel Research, ABN<br />
AMRO Equities 2 . Francis has 16 years of experience as an<br />
equity analyst following six years with Prudential Assurance<br />
Corporation and ten years on the sell-side with ABN AMRO. In<br />
August 2004, Francis moved over to ABN AMRO's<br />
sustainable development team in Amsterdam.<br />

Stephen Davis, PhD, is president of Davis Global Advisors<br />
(DGA), the leading consultancy specializing in international<br />
corporate governance and publisher of the weekly “Global<br />
Proxy Watch” bulletin. His forthcoming book, The Civil<br />
Economy — co-authored with Jon Lukomnik and David Pitt-<br />
Watson — forecasts market architecture. He is a co-founder<br />
and former governor of the International Corporate<br />
Governance Network and founding partner of<br />
GovernanceMetrics International and g3, a corporate<br />
