6.2 The National Action Plan for Youth (NAPfY)
The NAPfY will be the major policy instrument that provides a guide on
how to operationalise the various programmes and activities that need
to be carried out and timeframes of such actions as well as the agencies
that have to act upon these.
It also provides guidelines on the linkages between various
implementing agencies and stakeholders in the realisation of the needs
of youth in Botswana. The plan is essential as it states strategies and
priority areas of action.
6.3 Communication Strategy
There is need to create and improve awareness of the Revised National
Youth Policy; the opportunities it offers the youth and the role of
different stakeholders in the process of youth empowerment and
development needed to make the policy more effective.
Successful youth and youth projects will be used as examples for
dissemination and duplication. This can be achieved by more effective
use of both traditional and modern media.
6.4 Research, Data Analysis and Monitoring
A research, data analysis and monitoring component will be developed
to improve understanding of youth constraints and policy performance.
