the Sinner’s
Substitute

Each of us is familiar with the term substitute. During
our school days when the regular teacher became ill,
another instructor filled his or her position. The replacement
was called a “substitute” teacher. They were one who took the place
of another. In theological studies, this principle is contained in the
doctrine of the substitutionary or “vicarious” work of Christ. In other
words, the Son of God, because of His enormous love for sinners, took
our place or became our substitute.
Christ bore our sin
In His substitutionary work, the Lord Jesus Christ took upon himself
the sinner’s sin. Oh, what love that a Holy God should leave heaven for

earth’s misery, in order that He
might — in a body of flesh — take
upon himself our sin. Yes, Jesus
is God. “God was manifest in the
flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16). In Hebrews
1:8, the Father, speaking to His
Son, says, “Thy throne, O God, is
for ever and ever.” Jesus was in the
form of God (a spirit) and came to
earth to be made in the likeness
of men. He did so in order that He
might take the place of each sinner,
thereby becoming the sinner’s
substitute (see Philippians 2:6 - 8).
As the God-man, He never
experienced or tasted the dregs of
sin because He was the Holy One.
Isaiah was overwhelmed with the
holiness of God, and he said in
chapter 6, verse 3, “Holy, holy, holy,
is the LORD of hosts: the whole
earth is full of his glory.” Three
times the prophet ut tered that
phrase — once for each member of
the Trinity.
He continued in verse 5, “Woe
is me! for I am undone; because
I am a man of unclean lips, and I
dwell in the midst of a people of
unclean lips.” What made Isaiah
feel so lowly He had witnessed the
holiness of God. The remainder of
the verse tells the story. “For mine
eyes have seen the King, the LORD
of hosts.” I believe the one Isaiah
saw was the Lord Jesus Christ
because He is the one who bears
the title, “KING OF KINGS.”
In Revelation 19:11, the Lord
Jesus Christ returns to earth,
and the text states, “I saw heaven
opened, and behold a white horse;
and he that sat upon him was
called Faithful and True.” Verse
13: “And he was clothed with
a vesture dipped in blood [this
speaks of Christ’s redemptive work
as Saviour by the shedding of His
blood]: and his name is called The
Word of God [this ties in with His
preexistence as expressed in John
1:1].” Then, in verse 16, we are
presented with His glorious title:
“And he hath on his vesture and on
his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS. AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Oh, dear friend, Jesus was, is,
and always will be the Holy One.
While upon earth He did no sin
(see 1 Peter 2:22), He knew no sin
(see 2 Corinthians 5:21), and He
could victoriously challenge the
crowds with the words, “Which of
you convinceth me of sin” (John
8:46).
The tremendous truth that I
am about to present is that this
totally holy, spotless Christ was
willing to take mankind’s filthy,
vile, loathsome, abominable sin
upon His being at Calvary. The
Prophet Isaiah, so humbled as he
beheld the King in His beauty and
holiness, also saw Him bearing the
degraded, depraved wick edness of
all of earth’s race. Thus, in chapter
53, verse 6, he said, “All we like
sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him the
iniquity of us all.”
This agrees with 2 Corinthians
5:21: “For he [Jehovah] hath made
him [Christ] to be sin for us, who
knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God
in him.” This is the good news
— “Christ died for our sins, was
buried, and rose again the third
day” (see 1 Corinthians 15:3,4).
Who his own self bare our sins in
his own body on the tree (1 Peter
2:24). “Unto him that loved us, and
washed us from our sins in his own
blood” (Revelation 1:5).
Our sin grieved Christ
Can you imagine this Holy
One bearing all the filth of the
world at Calvary This is what so

deeply disturbed the Lord Jesus
Christ in Gethsemane. He knew
He had come to shed His blood for
sinners, for He planned it with the
Father and Holy Spirit before the
world was created. Proof “Who
verily was foreordained before
the foundation of the world” (1
Peter 1:20). Jesus Christ is “the
Lamb slain from the foundation of
the world” (Revelation 13:8). The
crucifixion was not taking Him by
surprise, for He had helped plan it.
His reason for crying out, “My
soul is ex ceeding sorrowful, even
unto death, and O my Father, if
it be possible, let this cup pass
from me” (Matthew 26:38,39), was
Christ’s dreadful hatred of sin —
my sin and your sin! The iniquity of
all sinners, heaped upon Christ at
His crucifixion, caused His Father
to turn His face away from Him
— forsaking Him during the hours
that He was hanging upon that
tree, bearing our wick edness.
Jesus knew that soon the
cry of Matthew 27:46, “Eli, Eli.
lama sabachthani that is to say,
My God, my God, why has thou
forsaken me” would become a
reality. Just the thought of the
weight of bearing all this sin
was undeniably heavy for the
Holy One who had never sinned.
Nevertheless, He took our place
and became our substitute. He
bore our grief and sorrow as He
filled our shoes. Isaiah 53:4 says,
“Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows.”
Consider the extent of Christ’s
grief by meditating upon John
19:34: “But one of the sol diers
with a spear pierced his side, and
forthwith came there out blood and
water.” Medical men at one time
thought this to be an impossibility.
The human body does not have
enough water in that particular

area to produce a flow. Through
advanced science and technology
in the medical field, today’s doctors
inform us that water may freely
run from that area if an incision is
made after one dies in grief. The
supreme sacrifice made to save us,
through the shedding of His blood,
tormented and broke Christ’s heart
as revealed through the flowing of
water from his side.
To bear every sinner’s sin is an
experience that none of us shall
ever taste because Christ, the
Holy One, has already endured
it for us and was the only One
who could. However, many of you
know the torment of mind you are
presently experiencing because
of some hidden secret sin you are
harboring. Multiply this billions of
times or trillions of times and you
will begin to comprehend just what
Jesus experienced at Gol gotha.
First Corinthians 6:9-11 lists
just a few of the sins that Christ
bore as He took our place: “Know
ye not that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom of God Be
not deceived: neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of
themselves with mankind, nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
Wait! The next verse says, “And
such were some of you: but ye are
washed, but ye are sanctified, but
ye are justified in the name of the
Lord Jesus.”
Christ, through His blood, can
remove any and all sin if one will
just call on Him. Read Romans
1:28-32 and Galatians 5:19-21 and
dis cover that Christ also bore
wickedness, mali ciousness, envy,
murder, deceit, backbiting, hatred
of God, pride, disrespect
for parents, uncleanness (or
dirty, double-meaning jokes),
lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft
(which comes from the Greek word
pharmekeia meaning “drug use”),
hatred of others, strife and fighting,
here sies, and drunkenness.
Yes, He even died to save false,
heretical teachers who deny the
virgin birth, the deity of Christ,
the blood atonement, and the
bodily resurrection. The precious
blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is
so powerful and efficacious that
over 2,000 years after it was shed,
all these sins, plus many others not
men tioned, will be immediately
blotted out when one comes to
Christ, for “the blood of Jesus
Christ his [God’s] Son cleanseth us
from all sin” (1 John 1:7).
The total meaning of Christ’s
substitutionary sacrifice is best
expressed in 2 Corinthians 5:21:
“For he [God] hath made him
[Christ] to be sin for us...that we
might be made the righteous ness
of God in him.”
Christ died our death
The Bible states, “The soul
that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel
18:4). “For the wages of sin is
death” (Romans 6:23). “Sin, when
it is finished, bringeth forth
death” (James 1:15). This is not
only referring to the first death
(the grave), but also the “second
death” which is the lake of fire (see
Revelation 20:14,15).
There is no doubt about physical
death be ing experienced by the
Lord Jesus at the cross. Christ
died that we might live. Yet, He
said, “He that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he
live: And whosoever liveth and
believeth in me shall never die”
(John 11:25,26). That which we call
death today is but a transference
into a richer, greater experience
if one is born again. Philippians
1:21 states, “To die is gain.” Why
For the Christian, to be absent
from the body (that’s what death
is, a departure from the body) is
to be present with the Lord (see 2
Corinthians 5:8).
What, then, is the “second
death” or the lake of fire It is a
place of eternal suffering and
separation from God. Not only
did Jesus suffer physically at
Calvary, He also suffered spiritually
— being forsaken of God
during His hours of agony. Because
the vicarious or substitutionary
sacrifice of Christ included the
giving of His body and soul
(physical and spiritual death), we
see that the Lord Jesus Christ also
bore the punishment of our second
death (separation from the Father).
Yes, Jesus also suffered
spiritually upon the cruel cross,
for Isaiah 53:10 states, “Thou
[Yahveh] shalt make his soul an
offering for sin.” This means that
during those excruciating hours
on the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ
bore in His soul every pang and
pain our eternal judgment would
have brought to us. Matthew 27:34
states, “They gave him vinegar to
drink mingled with gall.” Notice
that this took place twice — once
before He was crucified (see
Matthew 27:34) and again while He
was dying upon the cross (verse
48). Gall was a pain killer. Verse
34 continues, “And when he had
tasted thereof, he would not drink.”
In effect, Christ was saying, “No,
no, I’ve come to bear the sentence
of death for the sinner in My body
and in My soul, physically and
spiritually, and I will bear every
pang. Away with your narcotic pain
killer.” Yes, Jesus gave His soul
unto death (Isaiah 53:12).
As stated previously, the water,

which flowed from the Saviour’s
side, indicated that tremendous
grief was experienced as His body
and soul were made an offering for
sin. Surely all the fires of eternal
hell surrounded Him as He hung
upon the cross. No wonder He
said, “My God, my God, why hast
thou forsaken me” (Matthew
27:46). Thus, when all the sins
ever committed were laid upon
Jesus, the Father could not look
at His Son until the sacrifice was
completed. Praise God, when our
Substitute finished His sacrifice,
the Father approved and looked
upon Him once again. That is the
meaning of the Resurrection (see
Romans 4:25).
May I suggest that you read all
of the ac counts of the crucifixion
story (Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, Matthew
27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 19)
and then reread them. You will
clearly see that the Lord Jesus
Christ took both your first and
second death — the grave and the
lake of fire — upon himself when
He died. Because He took your
place, bearing your sin and taking
your penalty, you can receive
forgiveness and eternal life simply
by receiving what Christ did for you.
John 1:12: “As many as received
him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God.” When you
receive Him, your judgment day will
be past. “[We are] passed from death
[judgment or condemnation] unto
life” (John 5:24). Romans 8:1: “There
is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
Why He paid the penalty for you.
When you receive Christ, God says,
“[Your] sins and iniquities will I remember
no more” (Hebrews 8:12
and 10:17).
Potentially, your sin has been
paid for by Christ through the
cross. Experientially, you must
receive what has been provided.
Think of it! No sin, no judgment,
and no hell. No sin because His
blood can cleanse all from every
stain and taint of the past. No
judgment because His blood does
such a thorough job of cleansing
sinners that there’s nothing left to
judge. No hell because one whose
sins have been washed away and
who’s sins cannot be found cannot
be punished – Hebrews 8:12.
Praise the Lord! Your past
can be liquidat ed, obliterated,
and forgotten — and this will be
your blessed experience today
if you let the Lord Jesus Christ
come into your life. If you reject
Him, however, your sins will
take you into the grave and then
into the second death — the lake
of fire — to be separated from
the presence of God forever and
forever and forever. Oh, be ready
to meet the Lord Jesus Christ
when the call to leave this world
comes at your appointed time
(Job 7:1).
This may be the most critical message of

He Spoke
Her Name

Springtime is about to arrive in Michigan, soon to be
blossoming forth in beauty and majesty. The earth will rise
from her cold, barren slumber, exclaiming to anyone who
will hear: “Look at me — I’m alive!” Everywhere you will
look, it will be so shockingly spectacular.
The month of April is said to derive its name from the Latin verb
aperio, which means “to open.” As I look at the sights and sounds
breaking forth around me, I can’t help but feel the month is aptly

named. There is the budding
of the foliage. The grass has
become a soft carpet of green
once again. Even the robins
have returned home to nest,
chirping happily above me in the
trees.
Deep inside, I feel my own
state of mind coming alive with
the countryside. There is a new
sense of joy and expectation
with each decision that I face!
That is why I always look
forward to this exciting, flowery
season of the year. To me, the
experience of life bursting
forth from a wintry grave is
the perfect setting in which to
celebrate the Resurrection. As
a matter of fact, I feel spring
is almost as beautiful as the
Easter holiday itself — for both
typify life, hope and love.
Think about that first,
remarkable Resurrection
morning with me...
For three dark days, the cold
bite of death had filled the air as
our Savior’s body lay lifeless in
a tomb.
The cost was immense.
Only His crimson blood was
sufficient to take away the sins
of the world. Only His shed
blood could make our spirits
safe and ready for heaven. On
the morning of the third day,
the sacrifice was accepted. The
price of our salvation was paid
in full.
Just two days before, several
women had stood nearby the
hill of Golgotha, witnessing
the painful events of the cross.
They had left their homes
several months earlier to
journey with Jesus as He shared
His teachings throughout the
Judean countryside. At the foot
of the blood-stained cross stood
Mary the mother of Jesus, His
mother’s sister, Mary the wife of
Cleophs, and Mary Magdalene
out of whom Jesus had cast
seven devils. (Mark 15:40,41;
John 19:25, Mark 16:9)
But where did these women
go On the miraculous morning
of the Resurrection, only Mary
Magdalene, Mary the mother
Then Jesus said to
her, “Mary.” That’s
all it took. He quietly
spoke her name.
She turned herself
and said unto Him,
“Rabboni!” which
is to say, “Master.”

come forward to minister to the
entombed body of Jesus. (Mark

Mary Magdalene
receives a blessing
The painful memories of
the cross must have run time
and time again in Mary’s mind.
If ever she loved her Lord, it
must have been at this special
moment in history — as she
realized the cost of salvation
being purchased for her through
the life of God’s Son. I am sure

the image of her bleeding Savior
continued to melt her already
tender heart with love and
grace.
How strikingly beautiful to
recognize that the one who had
been forgiven of so much would
be the first to see our Lord after
His resurrection. (Mark 16:9)
Perhaps one reason our
sovereign Lord provided Mary
with this distinction is because
she was in the right place.
Her arrival at the tomb was a
selfless act of servanthood. She
came before the morning light
to care lovingly for the dead
body of Jesus and anoint it with
the proper spices of embalming
(Mark 16:1).
With the stone rolled away,
Mary frantically ran to tell Peter
and John. (John 20:2) “They
have taken away the Lord out of
the sepulchre,” she cried, “and
we know not where they have
laid him!”
Later, Mary would return to
the site of the tomb, where she
would weep in agony for the
lost body of her Master. As she
cried, she stooped down to take
a look inside the cold, empty
sepulchre. There she saw the
linen wrappings, with the face
cloth, in a place by itself. She
saw two angels in white, one
at the head and one at the feet
where the body of Jesus had
been lying. They said to her,
“Woman, why weepest thou”
“Because they have taken
away my Lord, and I know not
where they have taken Him,” she
replied.
Then she turned around and

saw Jesus standing before her.
But she didn’t know it was He
(John 20:11-14). Jesus said to her,
“Woman, why weepest thou
whom seekest thou” (John
20:15).
Perhaps her eyes were so
flooded with tears — the
agony and distress of the past
three days — that she did not
recognize the Lord. (Of course,
the fact that Jesus was also in a
glorified body also could have
changed His perspective to
her.) Mary thought He was the
gardener.
Mary Magdalene
recognized His voice
Then Jesus said to her,
“Mary.” That’s all it took. He
quietly spoke her name. She

After all that she had been
through ... after witnessing the
grueling death on the cross ...
after believing the body of her
Lord had been stolen ... I can
hardly begin to imagine how
wonderful it must have felt to
recognize His voice.
It must have been an
incredible moment, as she
realized “He is alive!”
Faith must have welled up
within her. Peace flooded her
soul. “Everything is going to
be all right,” she must have
thought. “My Lord is alive ...
and He has everything under
control.”
Mary had listened to Him
on many occasions, sharing

I can’t imagine any
other reaction,
except running out
and telling others
about the Good
News of what she
had seen ... and that
is precisely what she

the truth and comfort of God’s
Word throughout the Judean
countryside. Nothing
could comfort Her soul
like the matchless voice
of the Master. And now,
He stood miraculously
before her!
By faith, you and I
accept His teaching as
His voice in our lives
today.
I have experienced
His voice as He speaks
to me through His Word
— through the sense
of peace in regard to a
decision I am making
through prayer — and
through the direction
of circumstances I
have faced. But I have never
personally heard an audible
voice, speaking my name.
Yet one day we will! One
incredible, glorious day He will
say to you and me, “Come up
hither” (Revelation 4:1). When
He does, on that great and
glorious day, we will recognize
His familiar voice! (John 10:27).
Mary Magdalene
rejoiced in His promise
Seeing the risen Lord
standing before her, I am
confident Mary was reminded of
the many times Jesus predicted
and promised His Resurrection.
(Matthew 16:21; John 10:17,18;
John 2:19-21)
At the time these words
were spoken, they probably
seemed confusing, meaningless
and without hope to her. But
now, as she looked into the

compassionate eyes of her risen
Savior, she couldn’t help but
rejoice in the promises He had
spoken. Her weeping ceased and
her emotions instantaneously
turned to joy.
As you and I receive the
Lord, we experience this
same sense of excitement and
comfort in our soul, as we
realize the truth that is found
in the promises of God’s Word.
We rejoice in the salvation
purchased for us at Calvary
(John 3:16; Romans 3:24,25),
and in the fact that we are new
creatures in Christ Jesus (2
Corinthians 5:17), and that we
are not saved by the works of
the law, but totally as a gift of
faith (Galatians 3:13). These
promises comfort our soul.
In the same way, we should
also receive tremendous joy in
the promises Jesus has spoken
in His Word

that have yet to be fulfilled. He
is coming again, friend, and
He is preparing a place for you
and me (John 14:1-6).
Mary Magdalene shared
the Good News
Look at all the events that
transpired in the life of Mary
Magdalene: She experienced
the joy of receiving forgiveness
from Jesus Christ. She was
set free from the bondage of
demons that controlled her life.
She witnessed the precious
redemption of men’s souls at
the cross of Calvary. Now, she
is seeing the resurrected Lord
standing before her, in one of

Al Qaeda Promises
U.S. Death By A
‘Thousand Cuts’
ABC News reports: “Printer bombs
planted on two cargo flights cost only a few
thousand dollars and were intended to affect
the American economy, according to a
newly published Al Qaeda-affiliated
magazine.
The attempt was called
‘Operation Hemorrhage,’ boasted
the magazine, and the entire
plot cost Al Qaeda in the Arabian
Peninsula, or AQAP, only $4,200.
… A special edition of
Inspire magazine — an Englishlanguage
propaganda publication
produced by AQAP — gave a
detailed description of how the
attempted attack was conceived
and produced.
‘Two Nokia mobiles, $150
each, two HP printers, $300 each,
plus shipping, transportation and
other miscellaneous expenses add up
to a total bill of $4,200,’ one article said.
‘That is all that Operation Hemorrhage cost
us. In terms of time, it took us three months to
plan and execute the operation from beginning
to end.’
The magazine also revealed the attack
was not meant to kill more than the plane’s
pilot and co-pilot, and was meant to force the
U.S. government to spend billions of dollars on
preventive security screening measures.
The strategy, the magazine said, was ‘of
attacking the enemy with smaller, but more
frequent operations is what some may refer to
as the strategy of a thousand cuts. The aim is
to bleed the enemy to death.’…” (President
Obama states: We are not at war with Islam
and never will be. That’s wishful thinking
on his part. 9/11 began the war as 3,000
of America’s people were slaughtered and
cremated. Our President admires President
Franklin D. Roosevelt. When Japan
slaughtered 2,200 of our military men at
Pearl Harbor December 7 th , 1941, Roosevelt
and Congress declared war the next day —
December 8, 1941.)
‘Iran is a latter-day
Nazi Germany’
Haaretz reports: “If it were up to Reza
Kahlili, he would immediately order a
bombing of his native Iran, in order
to halt its nuclear program and
bring down the Islamic Republic
and the ayatollahs. And since he
doesn’t believe the United States
will do that, he hopes Israel will.
‘I strongly believe that it’s
1938 all over again,’ he says
in a telephone interview from
California, when the world
groveled before Germany, hoping
to appease the looming Nazi
monster. ‘The difference is that
this time the consequences
would be much worse than
World War II. The West had the
opportunity to overthrow this
regime in Tehran without firing
a single bullet last year when the mass
uprising happened, but now I truly believe
it will be war whether we want it or not, and
for that reason I think we should determine
the terms of it. The question to ask ourselves
is: Do we want to confront them now or when
they have the nukes That’s going to make a
big difference to the millions who will lose
their lives once they get the nukes.’…” (The
above headline is intriguing. Hitler was
an occultist and proclaimed that when
the destruction of Atlantis occurred the
spirits of the deceased entered the bodies
of the Germans and Iranians — hence
his title for both races as “Aryans,” was
the Master Race. Whatever the case,
Ahmadinejad and Hitler both had and
have one goal — the destruction of the
Jews and Israel — Psalm 83:4.)

USA Today reports: “The sky erupts.
Cities darken, food spoils and homes fall
silent. Civilization collapses.

There is talk of catastrophe ahead,
depending on whom you believe, because
of the threat of an electromagnetic pulse
triggered by either a supersized solar
storm or terrorist A-bomb, both capable
of disabling the electric grid that powers
modern life.
Electromagnetic pulses (EMP) are
oversized outbursts of atmospheric electricity.
Whether powered by geomagnetic storms
or by nuclear blasts, their resultant intense
magnetic fields can induce ground currents
strong enough to burn out power lines and
electrical equipment across state lines…
Fear is evident. With the sun’s 11-
year solar cycle ramping up for its stormy
maximum in 2012, and nuclear concerns
swirling about Iran and North Korea, a
drumbeat of reports and blue-ribbon panels
center on electromagnetic pulse scenarios.
‘We’re taking this seriously,’ says Ed
Legge of the Edison Electric Institute in
Washington, which represents utilities.
He points to a North American Electric
Reliability Corp. (NERC) report in June,
conducted with the Energy Department, that
found pulse threats to the grid ‘may be much
greater than anticipated.’
There are ‘some important reasons for
concern,’ says physicist Yousaf Butt of the
Harvard-Smithsonian Center for

there is also a lot of fluff.’
At risk are the more than 200,000 miles
of high-voltage transmission lines that cross
North America, supplying 1,800 utilities
the power for TVs, lights, refrigerators
and air conditioners in homes, and for the
businesses, hospitals and police stations that
take care of us all.
‘The electric grid’s vulnerability to
cyber and to other attacks is one of the
single greatest threats to our national
security,’ Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., said in
June as he introduced the bill to the House
of Representatives…” (2 Timothy 3:1:
“This know also that in the last days
perilous [dangerous] times shall come.”

‘Hizbullah has 10,000
operatives manning
40,000 missiles’
The Jerusalem Post reports: “A report
in the French daily Le Figaro revealed
new information on the military wing of
Hezbollah’s structural make-up, with details
on the guerrilla group’s 10,000 operatives
and arsenal of some 40,000 rockets. The
report also focused on Syria’s role in
Hizbullah operations, in both manufacture
and transportation of rockets.
According to the Le Figaro report,
which quoted anonymous officials in the
French Defense Ministry and Western
intelligence sources, Hizbullah has three
units dedicated to the transportation and
maintenance of its rocket arsenal.
The unit responsible for transporting
weapons from Damascus, Unit 108, received a
delivery of Syrian missiles headed to Lebanon
in January last year, according to Le Figaro.
The shipment, which was apparently spotted
by US military intelligence, was said to have
contained 26 M-6002 missiles with a range of
250km. Unit 108’s main barracks are located
near Syria’s border with Lebanon, in the
Shi’ite town of Doma, the report added, with
operatives also positioned within Damascus.
The unit has another base next to Damascus
Airport, which is vital for the handling of
weapon shipments from Iran — Hezbollah’s
main backer.
The Le Figaro report also revealed
that Unit 112 is in charge of transporting
missiles, usually by night and towards the
end of the month. The weapons are moved
using trucks with false number plates,
according to the report.
Hezbollah’s Unit 100 reportedly
deals with deployment and training, and
making sure the missiles reach their final
destinations, in various camps located
within 150km from Israel’s northern border.
As has been widely reported, Le Figaro
noted that Iranian officers are responsible
for training Hizbullah guerrilla fighters…”
(Dangerous times are ahead for Israel and
the Mid-East as Russia and many Muslim
nations unite to attack Israel, but Israel
will win as Yahweh God comes to the aid of
His beloved and chosen people — Ezekiel
38:1, 2, 8, 16; Ezekiel 39:1-13. Russia’s
Muslim allies — Daniel 11:40; Isaiah
17:1; Ezekiel 38:5-7 and Psalm 83:5-7.
Their purpose — Psalm 83:4. But it fails
— Isaiah 56:15.)
Christian woman
sentenced to death in
Pakistan ‘for blasphemy’
The London Daily Telegraph reports:
“Asia Bibi, a 45-year-old mother-of-five,
denies blasphemy and told investigators
that she was being persecuted for her faith
in a country where Christians face routine
harassment and discrimination.
Christian groups and human rights
campaigners condemned the verdict and
called for the blasphemy laws to be repealed.
Her supporters say she will now appeal
against the sentence handed down in a
local court in the town of Sheikhupura, near
Lahore, Pakistan.
Ashiq Masih, her husband, said he had
not had the heart to break the news to two of
their children.
‘I haven’t told two of my younger
daughters about the court’s decision,’ he
said. ‘They asked me many times about their
mother but I can’t get the courage to tell
them that the judge has sentenced their
mother to capital punishment for a crime
she never committed.’ Mrs. Bibi has been
held in prison since June last year.
The court heard she had been working
as a farmhand in fields with other women,
when she was asked to fetch drinking water.
Some of the other women — all
Muslims — refused to drink the water as
it had been brought by a Christian and was
therefore ‘unclean,’ according to Mrs. Bibi’s
evidence, sparking a row.
The incident was forgotten until a few
days later when Mrs. Bibi said she was set
upon by a mob.
The police were called and took her to a
police station for her own safety.
Shahzad Kamran, of the Sharing Life
Ministry Pakistan, said: ‘The police were
under pressure from this Muslim mob,
including clerics, asking for Asia to be killed
because she had spoken ill of the Prophet
Mohammed.
‘So after the police saved her life they
then registered a blasphemy case against
her.’ He added that she had been held in
isolation for more than a year before being
sentenced to death on Monday.
‘The trial was clear,’ he said. ‘She was
innocent and did not say those words.’
Earlier this year, Pakistan’s internet service
providers were ordered to block Facebook to
prevent access to supposedly blasphemous
images.
Human rights groups believe the law is
often used to discriminate against religious
minorities, such as the country’s estimated
three million Christians.
Although no one has ever been executed
under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws — most
are freed on appeal — as many as 10 people
are thought to have been murdered while
on trial…” (The blasphemy law is wicked
and favors Islam. The UN is pushing for
its passage led by President Obama and
56 Muslim nations and is being created to
persecute Christians. Beloved in Christ,
stand firm on Jude 1:3,4: “Beloved, when
I gave all diligence to write unto you of
the common salvation, it was needful
for me to write unto you, and exhort you
that ye should earnestly contend for the
faith which was once delivered unto the
saints. For there are certain men crept
in unawares, who were before of old
ordained to this condemnation, ungodly
men, turning the grace of our God into
lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord
God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”)

finally gave his life to the Lord Jesus.

officer and has talked to many people

never been one to read anything, but

I will try and send you some money

Holy Spirit is urging me to tell one and
all about the Lord’s soon return to this
earth! I work for a major hospital, and
I’m always talking to the sick and dying
about life after death. I’ve been told I’d
be fired if I continue to tell the cancer
patients about Jesus, and how they can
receive salvation through Christ. I told
the head administrator that someday
I will stand before the God of creation
and be called into account about my
actions and words in this life. I let
them know it’s more important to me
to let the dying know the truth and
spend eternity in heaven, than to lose

my job and have them lose their souls.
Well, as you can imagine this doesn’t
play well in the “politically correct”
world that I work in. Please pray for
me that I’m protected by the Lord,
and I’m able to tell those who have
one step in eternity about our Lord

to cancer in February of 2010. My
father loved the Lord so much and
actually looked forward to “going
home” to be with Jesus. He loved to
