Good things for good customers – arguments for successful
Obstacle detection in
the DOWN direction
If the roller shutter is moving down and meets, for
instance, a plant pot on the windowsill, drives with
integrated obstacle detection will automatically
stop moving in order to avoid damaging the roller
shutter. By moving upwards the obstacle can be
released and removed.
Sensitive obstacle
detection in the
DOWN direction
Drives with this function also stop automatically
when they meet an obstacle, regardless of
where the latter occurs. The reaction time between
meeting the obstacle and stopping is even
shorter. In the case of certain drive types (e.g.
PROF+), the roller shutter is also moved back up
a short distance. This relieves stress on the curtain
and allows the obstacle to be removed. You
don’t want to use anti-lifting devices
Not a problem – the sensitive obstacle detection
from BECKER also functions with flexible suspension
springs.
Upper anti-freeze
mechanism
The end strip of the roller shutter can also
freeze to the upper stop in very cold winters.
Drives with this function, which can be activated
when required, reliably prevent this by
stopping the roller shutter a few millimetres
before the upper stop. This clearance is held
constant by automatic, cyclic checks, even
when the curtain length changes as a result,
for instance, of the temperature. In this way,
even given double-figure negative temperatures,
careful operation for a long roller shutter
service life is guaranteed.
Detecting blockages and
obstacles in the UP direction
Did you know A broom falls against the roller
shutter in the middle of the night, blocking its
running rail. Or the end strip on the roller shutter
freezes to the window sill. No problem for intelligent
tubular drives with this function.
If they are blocked, they switch off automatically
to avoid damaging the roller shutter. Depending
on the version, the drive does not simply stop,
but also relieves the curtain immediately by
moving backwards a short distance.
