<strong>Site</strong> <strong>Letter</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commitment</strong><br />
Welcome to Adobe Youth Voices, you are joining a global network <strong>of</strong> schools and<br />
nonpr<strong>of</strong>it organizations (here after referred as ‘sites’)! Adobe Youth Voices<br />
enables middle and high school age youth to use digital tools to create with<br />
purpose, express their ideas about issues important to their lives and have their<br />
voices heard by a wide range <strong>of</strong> audiences.<br />
This <strong>Letter</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commitment</strong> lists the benefits we intend to provide to you, and the<br />
obligations we expect <strong>of</strong> you, as part <strong>of</strong> your participation as an AYV site.<br />
<strong>Site</strong> Benefits:<br />
• The educator(s) identified below will be provided with a minimum <strong>of</strong> 32<br />
hours <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional development<br />
• Donated S<strong>of</strong>tware<br />
• Recognition and opportunities to exhibit the site AYV youth projects to<br />
regional and global audiences<br />
<strong>Site</strong> Requirements:<br />
• Execute a grant agreement with Adobe Foundation agreeing to the terms<br />
and conditions <strong>of</strong> the site’s participation and the Adobe Foundation’s<br />
support<br />
• Support from the site administrator, identified below, which is<br />
acknowledged by signing this <strong>Letter</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commitment</strong><br />
• Participation and commitment <strong>of</strong> at least one educator in the pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
development workshop and throughout the year<br />
• Engagement <strong>of</strong> a minimum <strong>of</strong> 30 students in the implementation <strong>of</strong> your<br />
Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) project<br />
• <strong>Commitment</strong> <strong>of</strong> site information technology department to expedite<br />
installation <strong>of</strong> donated s<strong>of</strong>tware in the site computer labs as soon as it is<br />
made available<br />
• Production <strong>of</strong> youth created media, to be completed and delivered by the<br />
end <strong>of</strong> the program year<br />
• Participation and assistance in coordination <strong>of</strong> a culminating event with<br />
other AYV sites in your region where your educators and youth will be<br />
honored and their work exhibited and celebrated with their local<br />
community, media, and partners
Designated Educator(s) Responsibilities:<br />
• Participation in the pr<strong>of</strong>essional development workshop<br />
• Development <strong>of</strong> an AYV project plan, which will be guided and developed<br />
collaboratively during the pr<strong>of</strong>essional development workshop<br />
• <strong>Commitment</strong> to lead and guide the youth throughout the year in the<br />
creation <strong>of</strong> youth media using digital tools<br />
• Completion <strong>of</strong> periodic reports describing your progress, sharing best<br />
practices, and evaluating the benefit <strong>of</strong> AYV to your youth<br />
• Active participation in Adobe Youth Voices Essentials, sharing your stories<br />
and project progress<br />
• Collaboration with the AYV network and/or site Coordinator<br />
• <strong>Commitment</strong> to attend and complete the AYV training<br />
Please sign and return a copy <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Letter</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commitment</strong> to indicate your<br />
willingness to participate as an Adobe Youth Voices site.<br />
