MCC is a maintenance organization which is
seamless, adaptive and knowledge and capability
centric. It has its appropriate place in the overall
decision making process at higher levels of
the organization. It is the central repository of
information related to maintenance personnel,
equipment and activities. The successful
function of the whole organization depends
upon continuous exchange of information
among them. Today, in the era of information
technology, rapid dissemination of information is
imperative for the modern armed forces. Correct
documentation along with fastest means of
communication is an inevitable factor in effective
maintenance administration which in turn has
significant impact on the operational activities.
All efforts need to be made to ensure
effectiveness of MCC that enhance maintenance
activities and in turn operational capabilities.
Following are the suggested measures which
must be taken into consideration to strengthen
this bond :
