TICA4, July 22, 1998: More changes and additions to the “CGI<br />

Programm<strong>in</strong>g” section at the end of Chapter 23. I th<strong>in</strong>k that section<br />

is f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>ed</strong> now, with the exception of corrections.<br />

TICA3, July 14, 1998: First revision with content <strong>ed</strong>it<strong>in</strong>g (<strong>in</strong>stead of<br />

just be<strong>in</strong>g a post<strong>in</strong>g to test the formatt<strong>in</strong>g and code extraction<br />

process). Changes <strong>in</strong> the end of Chapter 23 on the “CGI<br />

Programm<strong>in</strong>g” section. M<strong>in</strong>or tweaks elsewhere. RTF format<br />

should be fix<strong>ed</strong> now.<br />

TICA2, July 9, 1998: Chang<strong>ed</strong> all fonts to Times and Courier (which<br />

are universal); chang<strong>ed</strong> distribution format to RTF (readable by<br />

most PC and Mac Word Processors, and by at least one on L<strong>in</strong>ux:<br />

StarOffice from www.caldera.com. Please let me know if you know<br />

about other RTF word processors under L<strong>in</strong>ux).<br />

ToDo: Check code list<strong>in</strong>g l<strong>in</strong>e widths. Try to add more mean<strong>in</strong>gful<br />

names for ‘X’ classes. Put <strong>in</strong> ad pages. Check separation <strong>in</strong>to header<br />

files vs. Implementation files. Differentiate copy-assignment<br />

operator= from other forms of operator=. HorseRace game as<br />

example of random number generator <strong>in</strong> early chapter<br />

paragraph is on a s<strong>in</strong>gle l<strong>in</strong>e, so if you br<strong>in</strong>g it <strong>in</strong>to a typical text<br />

<strong>ed</strong>itor that does l<strong>in</strong>e wrapp<strong>in</strong>g, it will read decently). Please see the<br />
