The below mentioned crew is raising money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People at the
2011 Nottingham Riverside Festival Dragon Boat Challenge.
As any parent will tell you, to look into the eyes of a sick child is a deeply
moving experience. To know your child has a limited life must be the greatest
human challenge any of us could imagine. If a family ever has to cope with
this, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People will be there for them.
Rainbows is the only children's hospice in the East Midlands and cares for
over 230 local children and their families every year. An incredible team
helps to control symptoms, improve quality of life and provide end of life care.
Rainbows gets less than 10% of its funding from the government and
therefore relies almost solely on the generosity of members of the public, fundraising events and sponsorship.
