TASK
TEAM KIT
Eastlands Homes currently runs a Task Team made
up of children aged 6-12 years old to encourage
children to take pride in their local community, and
to enable them to plan an active part in making
their community a better place to live.

Children are rewarded
throughout the year with
organised trips and activities,
providing they are completing
tasks.
Members of Street/Task Team
are currently being issued with
their own kit to enable them to
complete tasks independently
(supervised by their parents/
guardians). The kit contains:
■ Sweeping Brush
■ Dustpan & Brush
■ Children’s Gardening Tools
■ Gardening Gloves
■ Hi-Viz Vest
■ Watering Can
■ Flexi-Bin

You Choose
Youth Forum members regularly
attend an event organised by
Greater Manchester Police
Authority called ‘You Choose’.
The event concentrates on
issues that affect young people,
the topics this year were:
■ Domestic Violence
■ Sexual Assault
■ Stop and Search
The workshops raise awareness
about the topic and give young
people practical information and
advice about what they should
do if they find themselves in any
of these situations.
The next ‘You Choose’ event
will be held towards the end
of the year.
