Section 6: Article IV, Section 24.77.2 (4) DIMENSIONAL STANDARDS <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Land Development Code <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Laredo</strong>, is hereby amended to read as follows:<br />

(4) In the area areas defined as the CBO (Central Business District) and the AE (Arts<br />

and Entertainment District), no front building set-back is required, provided however,<br />

that an eight foot (8'-0") unobstructed sidewalk shall be required for all new construction.<br />

Side or rear building setbacks shall not be required, except as required by [Table eOO <strong>of</strong><br />

the adopted Standard Building Code] Table 503 <strong>of</strong> the International Building Code.<br />

Section 7: Article IV, Section 24.77.2 (8)(c) DIMENSIONAL STANDARDS <strong>of</strong><br />

the Land Development Code <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Laredo</strong>, is hereby amended to read as follows:<br />

(c) Filling station pumps, pump islands, and accessory buildings may be located within<br />

a required yard provided they are not less than fifteen (15) feet from any street right-<strong>of</strong>way<br />

line. Filling station pumps and pump islands shall not be closer than one hundred<br />

(100) feet from any residential district. The requirements <strong>of</strong> this subsection shall apply<br />

within the AE (Arts and Entertainment District) and the CBD (Central Business District).<br />

Section 8: Article IV, Section 24.78(b) OFF-STREET PARKING & LOADING<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Land Development Code <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Laredo</strong>, is hereby amended to read as<br />

follows:<br />

(b) CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT<br />

EXEMPTIONS<br />

Although encouraged to consider <strong>of</strong>f-street parking for their customers in their planning,<br />

customer <strong>of</strong>f-street parking is not a requirement <strong>of</strong> the individual businesses located<br />

within the [~] Central Business District and the Arts and Entertainment District.<br />

However, if such <strong>of</strong>f-street parking is provided, it shall be constructed in accordance with<br />

the provisions <strong>of</strong> Section 24-78 (p).<br />

Section 9: APPENDIX A <strong>of</strong> the Land Development Code <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Laredo</strong> is<br />

amended to include the following definitions:<br />

Art. artwork or work <strong>of</strong> art -means any work product <strong>of</strong> an artist, including all forms <strong>of</strong><br />

performing arts. literary arts. and plastiC or visual arts. conceived in any medium.<br />

material. modeling. music. theater. tattooing. literature. painting. printing.<br />

drawing. engraving. frescos. stained glass. mosaics, mobiles. tapestries. carving.<br />

sculpture. murals. fashion design. iewelry design. photography. film. video. digital<br />

imaging. bas-relief, high relief, fountains. kinetics. culinary arts. and collages.<br />

Art establishment - means an establishment primarily dedicated to the creation.<br />

dissemination. teaching or practice <strong>of</strong> art. its display. exhibition. storage. or <strong>of</strong>fer<br />

for sale. and includes but is not limited to antique shops. art galleries. artist<br />

live/work spaces. art studios. art supplies stores. bookstores. libraries theaters.<br />

art museums. and schools <strong>of</strong> music. art. culinary arts or dance. but does not<br />

include sexually oriented businesses.<br />
