This example shows that the largest returns are in retailing - mostly to large<br />
national and international supermarket chains - with only 5% of the sale price of a<br />
banana going to the farming family who grew it. The same is usually the case for<br />
farm products grown and sold in the North as well.<br />
Investigate a similar situation in the distribution of income from the production<br />
and sale of coffee.
