Eligibility: Students must be at a reading level of 6th grade or above and work well on their own. An assessment test will be given during the intake appointment. GRASP (Give Ready Adults a Study Program) is a GED Home- Study Program. Study packets are picked up by students on a two-week basis at local sites. Pre-GED is a home study program. PRE-LICENSING COURSE 5-Hour Pre-licensing Driving Course Participants in this pre-licensing program must hold a New York State Motor Vehicle Department’s Learner Permit. Completion of the NYS mandated 5-Hour classroom program would meet the requirements for earning the MV-278 certificate, which is required before a student can register to take their road test. The certificate is valid for one year. The cost of this course is $40 per person. Registration & Enrollment Students must pay in advance before their enrollment is processed for the 5-hour driving course. Online, only if paying by credit card, by clicking on the 5-Hour Class link. 2. By phone by calling (315) 963-4256 if paying by credit card. 3. By mail if paying by money order. You will need to print the registration form from the website or use registration form below and mail it back with your money order. No personal checks. Driving Course Refund Policy: If you are canceling your registration, cancellation must be in writing and received at least 72 hours before the course is scheduled to begin. Registrants will receive a 50% refund of the originally scheduled class fee.
