UNDERGRADUATE INDUCTION DAY
Friday 7 October 2011
Undergraduate induction will take place in the Engineering Science Department
Thom Building on Friday 7 October 2011. You should aim to arrive at Lecture
Room 1 on the 1 st floor by approx. 1.55pm.
The afternoon will include:
Introductory Talks by the Head of Department and the Senior
Administrator.
An introduction to safety in the Department of Engineering Science
A presentation by the Chairman of Faculty
After this you will be required to register with the Department.
Registration takes place in the foyer of the Thom Building. It will involve:
Getting a Course Handbook and Reading List
Having your photograph taken
Getting a copy of HLT Engineering Tables and Data which you will use
throughout your course
The opportunity to buy a log book (£5.00 each)
The opportunity to join:
o The Society of Oxford University Engineers as an associate member -
Students may join as associate members for a subscription of £10, becoming full life
