Effective, efficient and comfortable light Innovative high performance optical system engineered for improved visibility, reduced glare and control of obtrusive light Optical principle • Internal facetted rotational optic enhances downward light, whilst controlling the light distribution, for excellent uniformity of illuminance, no shadow effect at base of column • Oriented facets on the optic avoids occulting, whereby the central column can conceal luminous rays from the lamp • Clear polycarbonate bowl with low angle prisms eradicates glare • Conforming to the European Standard EN13201, Plurio meets the class G5 corresponding to a full horizontal cut off preventing upward light and even the most stringent class G6 with the ULOR 0% accessory. • Additional accessories (ULOR0, lamp cowl and lampshield) for increased control of glare and reduced obtrusive light No sky glow For highly sensitive areas, where absolute control of obtrusive light is required, a ULOR 0% accessory is available • ULOR = 0% (< 0.49cd/1000 lm): Plurio ULOR 0 version (facetted optic + black socket cover) • ULOR < 1%: Plurio with facetted or white optic • ULOR < 4%: Plurio Effect • Obtrusive light control: ULOR in line with E2* projects compliance as a standard (E1 projects with ULOR 0% accessory) *Environmental zones are stated by EN12193 and the CIE ‘Guide on the Limitation of the Effects of Obtrusive Light from Outdoor Lighting Installation’. These range from intrinsically dark areas such as national parks (E1) to bright inner city areas (E4). The lower the number the more restricted the intensity of light and recommended lighting level. Plurio has been designed as standard to meet the ULR requirements in term of E2 (low district brightness areas e.g. rural or small villages) and with the ULOR 0% accessory, the more stringent E1. No light trespass An easy to fit integral 120° lampshield provides a cut-off suitable for residential areas and certain public spaces. Available as an accessory. Photometric performance • LOR* up to 70% 1.5m No glare • Intensity peak: 200 cd/1000lm at 65° angle • Outstanding uniformity • 0% ≤ ULOR** < 4% depending on versions (ULOR < 1% with facetted optic or white optic and clear bowl) * LOR – Light Output Ratio, **ULOR – Upward Light Output Ratio 7m 70˚ 4m No glare The bowl is cleverly designed with prisms to prevent glare at 70° angle. If further visual comfort is required, a ‘cowl’ accessory can easily be fitted to shield the lamp from direct view. 7
