Invest in the best – for strength and success
Unger offers the ultimate in water fed pole design and
construction
Professional window cleaners need tools they can rely on, and
when it comes to water fed poles, Unger knows that certain
features are essential. Poles must be strong and sturdy, but light
enough for comfort and ease of use, while also retaining the
rigidity needed for cleaning windows or façades at all heights.
However, the lightest poles aren’t necessarily the best, as Matt
Hodgkins, sales and marketing director for Unger UK, explains:
“Lots of focus has been spent on making poles as light as
possible.
Often, low pole weight is achieved through compromises in
construction – mainly by decreasing the thickness of the pole
tube to reduce its weight. This makes a pole lighter but
directly affects pole rigidity and longevity, resulting in the pole
being weak, harder to control and more likely to splinter
or break. Although lightness is a benefit, material strength
(MSI) should also be an important factor when purchasing water
fed poles.”
Unger has been setting the standard in
this sector for over 50 years, and the
latest addition to its renowned nLite®
range of water fed poles is a prime
example of the company’s knowledge and
expertise.
The Ultra HiMod Limited Edition 2014, is
made from an enhanced hi modulus
carbon – a new material which Unger
brought to the market to offer the
ultimate in stiffness, even when cleaning
up to heights of 20 metres (65 feet). Its
features and benefits include:
An incredible 110 MSI* – making it the
most rigid water-fed pole on the market
30% stiffer material (230 GPa*) than
current nLite® HiMod poles, allowing
professionals to clean at height while on
the ground, with no loss of rigidity or
control.
Incredibly lightweight – 1.5 kg for the
Master pole; 0.7 kg for each Extension
pole
Unger’s nLite® system currently
features water fed poles and
extensions in a choice of five
different materials – aluminium,
glass fibre, hybrid (a mixture of
carbon fibre and glass fibre),
100% carbon fibre, or HiMod
carbon (5% lighter than regular
carbon fibre with greater stiffness
and rigidity).
