A prayer for Mothering Sunday<br />
Mothering Sunday 10th March 2013<br />
O God, the true Mother, as well as the Father,<br />
<strong>of</strong> all men and women, from whom we come,<br />
to whose breast we return at last,<br />
we thank you tis day for all good mothers<br />
and especially for our own.<br />
For their care and patience and love<br />
in childhood’s earliest days,<br />
for the prayers they <strong>of</strong>fered,<br />
the counsels they gave,<br />
the example they set,<br />
we bring you our praise;<br />
through Jesus Christ our Lord.<br />
