vi. Bidder shall have the capacity and availability to train leadership teams from<br />
California Counties on products/tools/strategies developed through this project 1 .<br />
vii. Bidder shall possess all permits, licenses and professional credentials necessary to<br />
supply product and perform services as specified under this RFQ.<br />
2. Specific Requirements<br />
Specific Requirements for this technical assistance / capacity building project include the<br />
following two components<br />
Component One: Develop capacity-building tools and strategies that:<br />
- Offer clients, family members and providers the skills and knowledge needed to<br />
address trauma and its impact on behavioral health challenges.<br />
- Are easy-to-use within diverse cultural populations that provide and receive<br />
behavioral health care services in Alameda County.<br />
- Include stakeholder meetings that are designed as safe/healing places to learn and<br />
share practical knowledge and skills that providers, consumers and family members<br />
use in giving and receiving support for trauma.<br />
- Are replicable to other counties.<br />
- Are sustainable past the initial one-year funding period.<br />
- During completion of each task, effectively communicate the commitment of BHCS<br />
to developing approaches to Trauma Informed care.<br />
Component Two: Complete the project in two phases.<br />
Phase I: Development of Tools and Strategies: Achieve three outcomes:<br />
Raise awareness of the role of trauma in mental health;<br />
Develop tools and strategy; and<br />
Lay groundwork for sustainability of final product.<br />
Phase II: Training, Implementation, Sustainability: Achieve two outcomes:<br />
Implement products of this project; and<br />
Prepare a leadership core who can sustain training and use of products/strategies<br />
developed by this project.<br />
