Caterpillar offers a variety of solutions to help you protect your

start-up sea trial
As a new owner of a vessel with Caterpillar propulsion engines you are
entitled to a FREE start-up sea trial. Ask your vessel sales representative
or your Caterpillar dealer service or sales representative.
extended service coverage (esc) for New engines
platinum esc is available for 36-, 48-, or 60-month periods and up to 6,000
hours from date of delivery for your new Caterpillar propulsion engines
and generator sets. In addition, platinum-plus esc covers Caterpillar
engine controls and certain pilot house displays. ESC coverage mirrors the
standard warranty coverage and is also transferable.
extended service coverage (esc) for used engines
Advantage Gold is an exclusive Caterpillar product for propulsion engines
less than eight years old. These engines must pass an inspection and sea
trial to qualify. Coverage is available for 12-, 24-, or 36-month periods in
250-, 500-, or 1000-hour increments. Maximum hour limitations apply.
customer service Agreements (csA)
Every CSA is an individualized plan that permits convenient scheduling of
maintenance. Three types of CSAs are available — Inspection, Preventive
Maintenance, and Total Maintenance and Repair. For your peace of mind,
CSAs guarantee that Caterpillar parts are used and ensure maintenance
and repairs are completed by highly skilled technicians.
