50 Admission<br />

Students qualifying for transfer top 10% admission under SB 175 will be admitted<br />

to Texas A&M but the choice of major is not guaranteed. Students wanting Business or<br />

Engineering are encouraged to select a different major due to the limited enrollment<br />

capacity in these colleges.<br />

College of Agriculture and Life Sciences<br />

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences recommends that the courses be selected<br />

from Tables 1 and 2 of the Degree Track appropriate to their intended major<br />

(B, C, D, or E). Performance in courses applicable to the major, such as chemistry for<br />

Biochemistry or Animal Science and math for Agribusiness, is important. Completion of<br />

the essay indicating why the major was selected and how a degree in this major will help<br />

meet career goals is required in this college. Admission requirements vary greatly across<br />

the college so that the prospective student should contact the advisor for the major prior<br />
