Erroneos Ideas About Decisions
Some people have mistaken ideas
about the need for decisions. These ideas
are erroneous and do not produce converts
or lead people toward decisions:
“My business is to present the
truth, and then let the hearers take it or
leave it.”
“My business is to sound the
warning, and then shake the dust off my
feet as a testimony against them!”
“The matter of decisions is largely
a matter of chance, and there is little we
can do about it.”
“The number who will be won is
fixed by how many are honest and receptive
when they first come to hear the truth.
They will make decisions anyway, so why
try to persuade them”
The Three “Ps”of Soul Winning
There are three “P’s” that should govern
all soul winning efforts. All three are
important and should be included for soul
winning to be truly effective.
Persuasion
Proclamation
• Decision process
• Discipelship process
• Church membership
orientation
• Public evangelism
• Bible studies
• Direct witnessing activities
Presence
• Community service
• Original contacts
• Indirect witnessing activities
