Remington ® Sporting Dog appreciates your continued confidence in our 

products. The No Bark Collar features advanced technology with its 

dual detection system (the VIBRATION SENSOR and the SOUND SENSOR). 

This technology allows the unit to use both sound and vibration simultaneously 

to trigger an automatic impulse/stimulation, as well as preventing false 

corrections occurring from sources in your dog’s environment. The VIBRATION 

SENSOR will not allow false correction for things such as friction on the collar 

unit (example: metal choker chains, metal dog bowls). Similarly, the SOUND 

SENSOR will not allow false correction from any noise in the vicinity of the 

dog, including another dog barking.

1) Unscrew the silver battery cover 

(we recommend using a quarter). 

2) Insert the CR2 3V 

lithium battery with the 

positive (+) side of the 

battery so that it will be 

up against the silver 

battery cover when 

screwed back on. 

3) After inserting the battery in the collar unit, replace the cover 

and secure. The unit will remain on until the battery is removed. 

(NOTE: Be sure to screw battery cover back on tightly, using a 

quarter or appropriate tool, to insure the unit stays waterproof.) 

Upon securing the cover, you will hear 3 beep tones indicating 

the unit is on. Your collar is now ready for programming. 

NOTE: When replacing this battery, use a CR2 3V lithium battery only. 

The Remington ® Sporting Dog No Bark collar unit operates in 2 modes: 

the ELEVATING PROGRAM MODE and the FIXED PROGRAM MODE. 

The ELEVATING PROGRAM MODE automatically increases impulse / 

stimulation as your dog barks until it stops barking: 

• When your dog barks once, the collar unit will emit a warning beep tone. 

If he barks again within 2 minutes, an impulse/stimulation will be delivered 

from the unit at its lowest level. 

• If your dog continues to bark, the impulse/stimulation will increase 

proportionately to the duration of the barking, until he stops barking. 

• If your dog barks again within 1 minute of the previous impulse / stimulation, 

the impulse/stimulation resumes at the same level that previously stopped 

the barking. 

• If your dog begins barking after 1 minute from the previous impulse / 

stimulation, the process starts again with the warning beep and, if he 

does not stop barking, proceeds to the impulse/ stimulation at the lowest 

level, increasing proportionately until he does stop. 

• This process will teach the association between barking and being 

impulse/stimulated until the dog stops the unwanted barking.

• Place the magnet key ring end directly on 

the indented circle on the collar unit and 

hold in place until you hear the ascending 

melody, the collar unit will be in the 

ELEVATING PROGRAM MODE. (NOTE: 

You may have to cycle through the FIXED 

PROGRAM MODE levels first.) 

• Place the magnet key ring end directly on 

the indented circle to switch back to the 

FIXED PROGRAM MODE. The unit will begin beeping, indicating the 

impulse/stimulation level that can be chosen, from 1 to 8. Count the number 

of beeps that correspond to the levels below and on the next page. 

When you hear the desired number of beeps, simply remove the magnet 

key ring from the collar unit. The level will stay set until you change it using 

the same process. We recommend starting out at the lowest level and 

increasing the levels until the barking stops. 

• 1 beep tone indicates level 1 impulse/stimulation 

• 2 beep tones indicates level 2 impulse/stimulation 







• To revert back to the ELEVATING PROGRAM MODE, hold the key 

ring magnet end directly on the indented circle on the collar unit until 

you hear the ascending melody, indicating that the ELEVATING 

PROGRAM MODE is set, then move the magnet key ring away from 

the collar unit. 

• You may check at any time, the level that your collar unit is set to by 

briefly holding the magnet key ring to the indented circle on the collar 

unit until there is a tone. Quickly remove the magnet key ring. This 

tone will correspond to the level your collar unit is programmed to. 

IMPORTANT: the program chosen is retained even 

when the battery is removed and replaced. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

• After inserting the battery or changing the program, the collar unit 

automatically enters a 1 minute standby period during which no impulse/ 

stimulation is possible. 

• The minimum time between 2 impulse /stimulations is 5 seconds. 

• The maximum number of impulse /stimulations that can occur is 8. 

• The collar unit will enter a standby mode if the dog has been impulse/ 

stimulated 8 times. 

• The unit will reactivate from the standby mode after 2 minutes.

Place the collar on the smallest 

portion of the dog’s neck, which is 

closest to the ears with the collar 

unit probes on the underside. 

Tighten the strap so that the collar 

unit fits snugly against the dog’s 

neck with both probes making skin 

contact, but not restricting breathing. 

Note: If the collar is too loose, 

barking may not be detected 

properly. The collar strap fit should 

be snug, yet loose enough to allow 

one finger to fit between the strap 

and the dog’s neck. 

• Do NOT use this product on 

humans or animals other than 

dogs. 

• We recommend that the No Bark 

collar NOT be used on dogs less 

that 6 months old. 

• It is VERY important to remove 

the collar when playing with your 

dog. Playtime may provoke 

barking and if the collar is 

left on the dog, it could lead him 

to associate playing with 

electronic correction. 

• Do NOT use a lead with the 

No Bark Collar. 

• NEVER leave the No Bark Collar 

on for longer than 8 consecutive 

hours. 

• Check your dog’s neck daily 

to make sure the skin is not red, 

or broken. If you find either, 

discontinue use of the collar 

IMMEDIATELY. Make sure the 

skin is healed completely before 

using the collar again (less 

tight than before). If the skin 

doesn’t heal properly, consult a 

veterinarian. 

• NEVER use the collar unit when 

you think that a low battery 

may be causing intermittent 

operation.

Remington ® Sporting Dog warrants this product against manufacturing defects 

for (2) two years from date of original purchase, to the original consumer, with 

an original receipt. 

The warranty does not cover: 

• Battery replacement 

• Nylon or plastic collar replacement 

• Defects caused by negligence or improper use 

• Damage caused by any shipping agency in 

route to Remington ® Sporting Dog 

• Damage resulting from not following instructions properly 

• Damage from unauthorized repairs 

• Loss or theft 

• Damage due to animal chews 

• Remington Sporting Dog will repair or replace the product at its discretion. 

• Except as specifically set forth herein, there are no warranties, representations, 

promises or assurances by Remington Sporting Dog, either expressed or 

implied, whether by law, custom, previous transaction or otherwise, including 

without limitation, warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular 

purpose with regard to the product. Remington Sporting Dog’s liability is 

solely as stated herein and no other liability shall exist, whether by negligence, 

strict liability, tort or any other cause or action. All liabilities for Remington 

Sporting Dog stated herein are the sole and exclusive remedies of the 

original consumer purchase. In no event shall Remington Sporting Dog be 

liable for any consequential or incidental damages or any other type of 

damage which may be caused in whole or in part by any failure, defect, or 

problem of the product. 

• This product is not a substitute for traditional obedience training. Remington 

Sporting Dog does not guarantee the effectiveness of this product due to 

variances in animal personality, temperament and influences beyond 

Remington Sporting Dog's control. 

• Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or 

consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply 

in all instances. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may 

also have other rights which vary from state to state.
