The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island<br />
Since it opened in 1887, the Grand Hotel has hosted five U.S. Presidents, countless<br />
dignitaries, political leaders, authors, celebrities as well as countless families and<br />
groups with exceptional accommodations, dining, and activities.<br />
Relive the simple pleasures of life on this beautiful island suspended in a forgotten,<br />
more innocent time where you hear only the click-clop of horses as no cars are<br />
allowed.<br />
Take a leisurely carriage ride on the uncrowded roads.<br />
Watch the freighters as they pass through the Straits from the magnificent front<br />
porch.<br />
Shop at the local stores that fill the downtown; buy some fudge.<br />
Rent a bike and trek all around the island, stopping for a picnic by the shore.<br />

with a Sunday-Thursday arrival/departure<br />
This includes dinner on arrival day, breakfast and dinner on the second day,<br />
and breakfast for two on departure day. It also includes tax, local assessment<br />
and baggage handling charges, and there is no tipping within the Grand Hotel.<br />

choice on your journey north<br />
