October B’nai Mitzvah
Jonathan Schatz-Mizrahi
On October 9 th our son, Jonathan will be called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah. This summer we experienced the joy of his
reading Torah at the Kotel, celebrating his bar mitzvah with
his Israeli grandmother and aunts. Afterwards we were
fortunate to be able to fulfill Jonathan’s dream of going to
Europe where we had a glorious family trip to Italy.
Sharing his passion for soccer Jonathan brought new soccer
equipment to the children that live at Kfar Ahava, in the north
of Israel for his mitzvah project. The Village of Love provides
a healthy home and upbringing to underprivileged children. To
earn money to pay for the equipment Jonathan worked this
summer helping with a project to expand our driveway.
We are very proud of the young man Jonathan has become –
an honors student at Felix Festa Middle School, an asset to his
travel soccer team, a voracious reader and most importantly a
kind person, sensitive and attuned to the world around him.
