Introduction to sewing machine<br />
Importance of machine practice including. Machine parts, Attachments, common<br />
problems and remedies while sewing, maintenance of sewing machine. Defect in<br />
stitch formation, causes and remedies, attending most commonly occurring<br />
mechanical defects.<br />
Equipments and Requirements: -<br />
Equipments for <strong>garment</strong> construction, cutting tools, measuring tools, Needles<br />
and threads for sewing, materials for fastening. (Hooks and eyes, Buttons, Zip<br />
fastener)<br />
Stitching practice:-<br />
Straight lines, broken lines, waves, corner lines, circles. (in paper & fabric).<br />
